What is yahoo up to? Has anyone else been emailed?

Oh, that's not really from yahoo. I have posted a recent topic about that about a friend of my father's who was hacked by that scheme.

That is a scam. Don't reply to it. Don't click on any links. Instead, to to Yahoo, and report the email.

Ho dloveli, don't touch it with a barge pole. If they are asking for your username and password and things, it is not real. Because if you think of it they should have all of that information if they really are from Yahoo. I would not respond at all. x

You have probably already been told, but I am responding to e mail, and cannot see it. Report this as spam. If it is not spam, it will come back to you. They already have your username and password. This is definitely a phishing trip.

sounds like a scam to me-i'd forward it to yahoo.
i've been hearing people on MSN and yahoo have been getting hit this week,so that's probably from whoever's been doing it.

It is definetely a trick. Yahoo will never ask you to email them any of this kind of thing. Why bother to send email if they can force you to entry it when you enter the yahoo. Isnt it a waste of email bandwith. So, im sure it is a scam. You should report it to yahoo.

YAhoo tels you never give out password to any one they have your info ya dont need to give it again!

That is really scary.It is quite obvious that it is a phishing mail since it is asking for personal information including your password and other details.I think you should report this to Yahoo since many others are likely to fall into this trap if they do not send out an alert soon.I had twice received such an email from Paypal but sent it to the spam folder and reported the issue to them too.Happy posting.

I have not received any such email from Yahoo. If I receive any kind of suspicious or "iffy" emails I always contact the sender and NOT by clicking or replying to the suspicious email. A few years ago I received a similar request from PayPal and like a prize idiot I responded to all their questions and did not check it out first. Within a couple of hours someone in Manitoba, Canada was using my ID. It caused me no end of trouble and even although it was identical to a real PayPal email it was a fraud.
