Obama sends additional troops to Afghanistan

okay, personal opinion here ...

I thought he said he was going to get us out of the war, not just start another somewhere else.
As I said, personal opinion.

This is not going to make him popular with a lot of his followers and some of the democrats in congress.
Alot of them want us out of both wars.

I guess he can finally make a decision now that he has the Nobel Piss Prize in hand.

That being said, I hope he comes up with a definition of victory now that he has committed to staying in Afghanistan.

It is about time he did something. It is really stupid that he waited this long.

I like that Obama is getting troops out of Iraq because I really didnt see Iraq as a threat to the United States. The country we should off been worried about more was Afghanistan that's where Bin Laden is located well I think. He could be anywhere in the world hiding but the government should off concentrated on him more since he was and is a big threat to the United States. He killed a lot of innocent people on September 11, 2001.

Wow it is obvious that no one in here holds any political office, holds no current rank nor cares about anything except bashing Obama. If he did not send the troops, you all would be saying he is not doing enough to protect this country. Like it or not President Obama is not going to hold a press conference every time he makes a decision, nor is he required to. Furthermore, it makes me feel good when I can log on to the whitehouse.com and receive updates with the latest information, review documents and the like. It is a lot more information than we as citizens have ever received in previous boched administrations (bush).

Nothing gets my goat more than when they send our troops out somewhere to get shot at or bombed, but then can't supply decent guns for them, or refuse to send more troops when it's needed, or feel that the new toy that have had in developement for a decade is more important than the needs those troops have NOW!!

He's sending more troops over....GOOD!
The only way he could have had my respect was to either listen to his generals and send them, or call them all home!
If we are gonna have a war, then let's have a war!! Let's not just play war, and let our troops get picked off like they have been. Go in, clean house, and hopefully come home in one piece!
As far as weather or not obama is tough enough to go personally and kill bin laden...well....bush wasn't either was he.
I don't think they want to find bin laden, he serves a purpose for them. And, well, don't think that they will take him alive, the guy just has too many secrets our gov't doesn't want us to know about!

No I think Mr. Obama would try to talk his way out of it like he does with everything he has done so far.

Okay, from what he said he should be bringing our troops home not sending more to war, no matter where.. Anyway if they would put a big reward on Bin Ladens head we wouldn't need to go to war, let the people who live there take care of it. The millions (or billions) we spend could be used for more important things. A million dollar reward (dead or alive) would be all these people needed to turn him over to the USA. Money can get you almost anything in these countries. For a million dollars his own family (brother) would sell him out. The Obama "puppet" is having his strings pulled again and as usual he is dancing for those who control him. And those are the ones who control the money(world).
