 A few minutes ago...heck I don't know when lol I posted a discussion on my lyrics. Ok I can't type too much of it for I am worried about someone stealing it. Sounds lame but right now I can't take the chance. Ok, I am just going to give you a few line s, then give you some more line s that I have twisted the words around etc. Hope that makes sense. Could you please just let me know what sounds better.
Alright here it is:

Where are you? I swear I don't know
Was I just here for the ride?
OR
But I've just been going solo
where are you? I swear I don't know
Was I just here for the ride OR were YOU just here for the ride?
I can't make my mind up on what sounds better on - was I here for the ride OR were YOU just here for the ride.
I am singing about a guy who I felt used me..so does that mean I was there for the ride or HE was there for the ride? Sorry, I really hope that I am making sense here. Thank you heaps again!

What really matters is that you put ALL your 'feelings' into the song, keeping them far-far away from your reasoning.
And for the guy, I hope you GO TO HIM to get to the heart of the reason why he did the things that made you 'feel' like you were used.
I understand that it's possible you've written him off as "dead to you" and are totally over him, and I don't want to dig up any possibilities that you've left buried deeper than will ever bother you again; but I also don't want either of you to regret "what might've been."
So, GO TO HIM and ask him 1) why he did what he did & 2) why he didn't do what you expected him to do.
What DID he do that made you 'feel'? What DID you expect him to do? Did you tell him that you expected him to do that?
