Do music has the power to change your life?

i believe so, even music without lyrics can calm your mind or even mloud music sometimes its relaxing to some people. because of music it can also change your attitude and it depends on how you interpret it.

i love heavy metal and it changed my life for the better. i cannot go a day without listening to it. it does not matter what is going on in my life or how bad it is, so long as i have my electronic IV that i call zeepod (my ipod). all my experiences are enhanced by the music that i listen to. it helps me to get to where i need to be. it does not matter whether i am happy or sad, there is metal to suit my every mood. it is as vital to me as breathing, it is one of the cornerstones of my very existence, i feel that without it, i would certainly perish. it is also how i met my best friends in the world, all through our shared love for heavy metal. going to a gig or concert or festival for me, is how i would imagine other people's religious experiences to be, when they attend church or whatever. regardless of what is going on in my life, so long as i have music, it all does not seem so bad. heavy metal is the reason that i am alive.

I do think music has the ability to change people and lives. I have heard about spiritual music doing it to people but for me it is a nice song with a lot of meaning that gets me going. I love to listen to all types of music and often pick whatever my mood reflects. I enjoy sad country songs when I am in a down mood. I like uplifting songs when I am sad to change the mood though.

Yup, even I can't stand without music. Music is my life, when I'm so down music that I listen bring up the light of my life. Music has some emotional scope that can touch our feelings. Indeed that music has the power to change our lifes.

Yeah music has the power to change our life...! Starting from peoples mood it changes everything in life...! Even a crying child can be made smile by music...! We can make ourself to have a good mood at all the time...! Without musice the entertainment field will not be good.

Yes maybe. I find that when I listen to songs that are upbeat, I feel happier. Then, a song will come on that reminds me of a sad time in my life, and the mood will turn to somber. It's funny how music can completely change your mood. Music is the backdrop for our lives, but we don't realize it, unless a song is playing that suddenly, unexpectedly, transports us back to a memory that we had long buried. Music definitely has the power to affect our day.

I think music affects some people more than others. Some are almost indifferent to music.

Others, like myself, totally live, eat, and breathe music. It kickstarts my day, keeps me up when I am down, and helps me unwind at the end of the day. I would not mind going deaf listening to music if I had to...

hmm music means a lot to me, i can't say it can change my life but yeah it helps me a lot when i have bad times and also good, i listen to a lot of porcupine tree songs, they have so deep meanings and i like to get in to them... i like their musicality too, just so engrossing to listen to and i enjoy them very much... when ever i have some bad time and i think a lot these PT songs comfort me, it helps me realize there are people out there who have been in the same situation and also dat time sometimes is really bad but we need to move on, on the other hand happy songs are what i listen to when i am really excited about something... music has the power to change the mood i guess, but yeah life without music!

i do not wheather music can change others' life or not. but it can change my attitude towards life and it can change my mode. when i am not happy, the music helps me a lot. when i parted with my ex, i was so sad, it is the music that made me better.

The extent of belief varies man to man, country to country, race to race and religion to religion. Music makes some changes in mood. If the change can be done in a permanent mode, then you can say that music can change not life, but life style. Think about your national anthem? doesnt it change your mood instantly? generally it makes.
in india, music has a very close relation with religious practices. they have religion based songs also. in Islam, there are sufi musics. in africa, once you see the movies that jungle people do their rituals with drums.

music plays a role in all other spiritual practices also.

in this world, everywhere and in every sectors music exists. Music, i define (dont laugh) as a combination of rhythm and sounds. the bird who nests near a river, loves the rhythm of waterflow. if the water stops flowing through that river, that bird will migrate to another river shore. Insects has a music of their wings. that is the proof of their existence to their fellowmates. even air has a rhythm of flowing.

whether music realy changes life or not, may be very difficult to explain. but think of a day without any rhythmic sounds arround you? can you survive in that environment?
