Drinking warm water after the meal is good for your health. Do you know it?

I have my doubts about the reasoning behind this. Everything you consume adjusts to reach your own body temperature. While cold water could cool things down in your stomach, it will heat up again quickly. Think of your body like a heater set at 98.7 or so. When something cool is added, the temperature might lower a little but it will always return to 98.7 degrees as it travels through the body.regardless, it's good to drink liquids and warm ones make us feel cozy. happy lotting

Hi Sree! I always like to drink cold water when I'm having a meal, sometimes even before eating. I've heard about this before, but I didn't pay much attention! I have a friend that always prefer to drink warm water and I didn't ask her why and maybe this is the reason! I will try to start drinking warm water and I hope I'll get used to it. I have come across same article with you few months ago, it sounds convincing though we really find it satisfying if we have cold water at the end of the meal. I can't actually drink water unless it's cold and even I put some ice cubes when I'm home. But during breakfast I made it a point to drink hot chocolate or coffee after a meal and drink cold water only after several hours. At work, I guess I'm drinking water almost every hour or even less an hour, I always feel thirsty specially now that I'm pregnant. Good Day!

Hi,sreekala i drink warm water in all seasons irrespective of whether it is hot or cold weather.But i do not drink water in between meals because water intake while having food makes one feel full and one cannot eat enough food and also cannot enjoy their food.I was not aware of this fact,thanks for your information.
I also want to share with you all, one more fact that consuming a glass of warm or hot water as soon as one gets up in the morning alleviates constipation problems and also helps in toxin removal from body.

Thank you for the very helpful trivia. I did not know this. To add, I always drink cold water before and after a meal for several years now, especially if it is summer. Now that I have read what you said, I don't think I will continue my bad habit of drinking cold water after eating. From now on, I will just drink lukewarm or hot water. It is better to be safe than be sorry.

From what i learned it is good to have a warm water or a warm soup while having a meal. It will help dissolve the food. I believe cold water will solidify the oily stuff we are eating. When the oil is solidy it will slow our metabolism. So it is good to have a warm meal than cold or a meal with soup and drink not cold water.

I have heard that warm water is better for you too. I prefer to drink milk though. It is cold milk instead of warm milk. I do drink hot coffee and hot chocolate sometimes too though, so that helps.

yeah i heard it on the news and read a book about it. it is better to drink warm water or maybe hot tea after having a meal because the fat that we eat doesn't stick into our inside,just imagine and oil that is put inside the fridge, that will happens to the fat after drinking cold water from having a meal.
