What Standard is Fair to Hold Prs. Obama to?

Prs. Obama said that we should judge him by the people he surrounds himself with. Should we be holding him to that standard? Should we hold him to any standard at all?

Hi Ted, well as I'm not over there as you know I'm not that familiar with his retinue as it were, but I did have the misfortune to see a tv clip from inside the White House where he and the wife were entertaining the British queen and her escort husband. The latter was televised making one of his usual insulting remarks about foreigners, this time the difficulty apparently in distingushing between the Russians and the Chinese. So is this really setting a good standard to entertain foreigners of that ilk who represent another country without being elected to that position. I would be greatful if anyone knows how Obama dealt with that one, did he join in the joke or dispay a negative reaction. Unfortnualtely the clip I saw only caught the back of his head. If Obama himself had made that statement himself it would have made world news, so tell me how he handled it and if he was happy to surround himself with such an ignorant person.

Can't say I know anything about that situation. Thanks for responding though. Apparently "left sided politics" doesn't hold Obama to any standard whatsoever.

You can still comment on the facts I gave you regarding Obama mixing with an unelected duo from the UK and the rather large gaffe made by one of the parties present. You did ask about the company he keeps reflecting on him, and he did keep their company, whilst he really should be seeking the company of the prime minister rather than an unelected pensioner. Or maybe your taxpayers like financing two jollies at the white house. What is the official Obama standing on fuedal monarchies and entertaining them whilst there is serious work to be done?

Obama only cares about power for himself, I don't think he gives a crap about the power others have.

hello teddy. have to pretty much go along with the thea here - now certainly policians should be held to a certain standard - and criticism is an essential part of a democracy but i can't actually see anything wrong with what i think you are referring to. he was just being diplomatic.
