Good changes in Indian team for Aussie series.... |
|
Its a good decision to remove Venkatesh prasad especially, he himself is a mediocre bowler. For his height, given a chance, he should be bowling very fast and Indian team would have got a good genuine pace bowler. But he is stingy and settled for medium pacer which is considerable slower. Of course, he has a good slower ball. Thats it. No great achievements from his side as a bowler to cement himself as a coach. Even this applies to Rahul Dravid, who can eat as many balls as the slowest player of all time. He is over hyped and did little to the team when compared to Sachin. RP singh is removed its a good decision as he is struggling big time. Yuvi is back so its good news...

1. madhuvamsi (415) | 2 months ago | I am happy that Venkatesh Prasad was removed as bowling coach because during his playing days too he use to give lot of runs. What can this guy teach or coach an international side. Only a slower ball and this slow ball will not always work. His sacking is good move by BCCI and finally Yousuf Pathan is given a break and for R P Singh too. I would like to see even Ishant Sharma too dropped for this series against Australia. His bowling form too was not impressive in past few series.. I am happy for Tyagi who got chance to play for India and I wish he lives up to his expectations. I am bit sad that Dinesh Kartik was dropped because he is in great form presently. Ravindra Jadeja form is question mark for me. Dravid is not suited for ODI's in my view and he gets stuck at one end if Indian batting is under trouble. He neither rotates the strike nor attack the opponent bowling.. It is time to say goodbye to Dravid in ODI's. Let us see how this new look Indian team perform..:)

vivekkumarnayak (147) | 2 months ago | Dropping Ishant sharma would not have been a good idea.Even if he is out of form and has underperformed in recent series he has performed well against Australia and is career best is against this team.Since his debut he has been a nightmare for ponting'man.Every player has a bad patch in his or her career and sharma is going through that patch.Hope hat he will come with yet another glorious display against the Aussies....Ravindra jadeja does not deserve a place in the team.It is best to keep him out....

tskmjk55 (426) | 2 months ago | Ishant sharma is becoming like Sreeshanth who has spoilt his career by on field antics (we can safely call him as a mad person). To boost his confidence, he should not rely on this cheap tricks. I have seen him recently with pathetic on field behaviour and horrible pace. Of course, he is a line and length bowler.
Ravindra Jadeja should make use of this opportunity as opportunity strikes only once. Tyagi induction is also good. Dropping Yusuf pathan is a good idea as he is not yielding any good results.

2. vivekkumarnayak (147) | 2 months ago | Yes of course It good news that yuvi and Sehwag are back they will add lot of strength to the team whan the team is playing against such big opposition.V.prasad and Robin singh were removed as the board thought that its a time for a change,to produce some better results.Players like dravid and r.p singh were dropped and needed to be as both were strugling and did lot of mess allaround... Inclusion of fast bowler Tayyagi is a good news But some more good, talented fast bowlers are needed to strengthen the bowling attach....

niitesh (846) | 2 months ago | The changes are good for Indian team but I don't think the newbies will get a chance to prove themselves their worth in the team. Most of them just get selected and are only salary paid spectators for the team, only if they get a chance is it worth selecting new players in the team,

tskmjk55 (426) | 2 months ago | Yuvraj has become a class apart and Sehwag is like a make or break batsman. So Indian Team atlast has a good team.

4. Mac6999 (580) | 2 months ago | Yeh its probably a good decision to get rid of the bowling coach. There has not really been anything good from young bowlers in the past couple of years. Zaheer Khan was hilding the unit together, and in his absense the cracks were visible. Ishant Sharma was good last year, but for some reason he is down on confidence, hopefully he can come back strongly.
Dont really know what the selectors are trying to get across by first selecting Dravid and then dropping him. It seems like they just wanted his to be there when the team was playing in tough batting conditions, and now that they are back to flat pitches in India the young guns can take over. At some stage this issue will have to be sorted out. Iam not saying Dravid is the best in ODI, but he has got a raw deal.

tskmjk55 (426) | 2 months ago | Thanks for your comments. If you think Dravid got a raw deal, then youngsters should hang up their boots and not think of playing for Indian team. Seniors should be used optimally but not drastically. No one can be like Sachin so we cannot expect others to fire in the same manner. India has a bad history of not producing good pacers barring Kapil and Srinath. Zaheer is not consistent enough.

5. I_LUV_U (952) | 2 months ago | Well yea, but you got to feel for Rahul, for he did OK in champions trophy. He should have been given a little longer run, say around five matches at least. I'm happy for Yuvi and Sehwag, India rely heavily on these two world class batsmen. As for the sacking, I too think it was a good move from the BCCI to axe Prasad and Robin. Robin especially thoroughly deserved it, the fielding standards in CT were as bad as it could get. I can't wait to see the men in blue take on the kangaroo unit.

tskmjk55 (426) | 2 months ago | Indian fielding is the pathetic kind so much that we can safely award that worst fielding team along with pakistan. Sri lankans are much better than their sub continent counterparts.

6. anu0002 (106) | 2 months ago | I agreed with you in the case of Venkatesh prasad. But in the case of Rahul Dravid I never agree. I think he is in good form and he can play in any conditions than any other Indian player.

| 7. rocker189 (25) | 2 months ago | I think the selection this time against aussies is pretty good. The exclusion of Dravid didn't surprised me at all. I don't know what did the selectors think while picking Dravid in the recent series. Also, the batting department looks deep with comebacks of Sehwag and Yuvi and inclusion of Jadeja. He needs to grab this opportunity. But what fears me most is the inexperienced bowling line up. Zaheer is the backbone of Indian bowling attack. But due to his injury the attack looks hollow. Also Indian team lacks too much in the fielding department. I think the pitches here are performing very well as one can see in the ongoing CT T20. SO much will be dependent on how Indian batsmen perform on the given day.

tskmjk55 (426) | 2 months ago | Thanks for your comments. Sehwag and Yuvi will certainly bolster the Indian chances of a strong batting lineup. Bowling department needs to pull up their socks.
