I do pretty well for somebody who isn't awake!

Not awake? I know that here aren't many people around today but is it that boring................

Didn't sleep well last night, then had a big lunch. About to fall over on my face and make loud zzzs...

@dawn. Have you forgotten so sound? One large shot of rum and two Tylenol pm will do it. Trust me. You can trust me although my mother told me never to believe anyone who said 'trust me'.

@dawn: oops a daisy! should have said soon not sound.

The rum and the Tylenol PM won't do it, there's one necessary element that's missing. And it talks too much at bedtime, bounces, snores and is generally hazardous to my sleep.

I will "hold" the reciever in my hand and hum reallly loud.....

hehehe Well how talented are you, patois, a best British accent, what next? That will get you somewhere as long as you don't try it in France!:-)

Oh stupid me!! I really do not believe that all the French hate the Brits. Many of them have come to me, smiling with outstretched hands trying to hug and kiss me ..... I am the one who is slow today. BTW where are all the emails? Haven't received any. Have had to hunt a few people down to make a discussion.

I'm getting e-mails on your discussions, but hardly any others at all.

I just remember when I went to Paris and some English folk were in this restaurant that we were eating in and one of them wanted an omelette. The waiter made that person go sit in the bar because omelettes are bar food. There were a couple of other similar incidents... They're nicer out in the countryside.

Maybe it 's a plot...

But what's worse than the hold button is those dreadful systems, push 1 for this, push 2 for that and no way to get to a real person EVER!!!

There's a site called gethuman.com that can get you to a human a good deal of the time. I refuse to wait more than a few minutes for anyone!

Yeah me too. The ones that have nothing are the worst. You don't know if you're still on hold or disconnected...

Chimes, yikes, my head is starting to hurt!

They are monotonous, boring and can do your head in within minutes and they wonder why the clients are grumpy!

It wasn't funny on my second day when a lady from a radio station rang up live on air to ask about it, and i was the PR newbie anwering the phone, trying to get my boss to run the length of the office so i didn't have to talk on air!

hehehe they probably do some market research thing and pick the thing that is the most soothing or something...
