how about winter swimming, anyone tried it before?

It gets cold now, many swimming pools have closed, and maybe there is constant temperature pools in some gymnasium, we could go to swim there. But I wonder if you want to try swim in cold water in winter, which is low as celsuis 0 to 10 degrees.it could be a great sport, though you only swim for a short while, the effect is more than long time in normal temperature water.

I have tried it before, in a very clean lake, really hard and exciting,and insist on for two years, but i now leave that place, now always recall it.

so any friend here has idea or experience about it -- winter swimming?

I once went to Baguio City, north of the Philippines, on a January morn. Baguio, aside from being the city of pines, is also the coldest city in the Pacific islands. But what the heck, the pool looked very inviting and in I jumped. BRRRRRRRRRRR! I needed hot chicken soup afterwards.
