Vet bills...

those day's are over kmz last year when my lhasa contracted diabetes, he got eye infections that the vet did not warn us about 3 months into his diabetes he went blind because of cataracts, the bill from the eye vet was 3800 due on surgery date, he did however gave me follow up visits for free. the follow up visits went on for 6 months with 8 different eye drops 4 times a day in 30 minute intervals, dont get me wrong id do it all over again for my dog but alas he had to be finally put down 6 months later because his pancreas went out and there was nothing more we could do. i year of insulin, constant weekly vet visits, prescription dog food to a cost of 8300 dollars in 1 year, and for my friend MAX id do it again, his ashes are now resting peacefully on my hutch and when my time comes he'll be right there next to me in my box 6 foot under

I think that the vets charge way too much and that is why alot of people do not take their animals to the vets as they can not afford the massive bills you get every time you go there.Thankfully we live in the UK and our vets always let you pay monthly if you can not afford to pay for it all in one go.

I have three dogs so visiting the vet is done every week.When it comes to the bills i pay a lot of money for the vet bills.Although our dogs never had serious problems but still the grooming bills cost a lot
but we want our pet to be clean and healthy which makes us happy so i think we have to deal with the bills

My vet has just started doing this for me a couple of months ago. Because my cat situation was getting out of hand. So now I have 6 more cats to go and I am so far $1200. in the hole.. I am so broke - I wish I had more to pay them. But I am so grateful they have helped so we can keep this population from exploding.
They have always been good to me. They generally want payment up front- but if I wrote them a check and asked them to hold it a week they always did that. I am glad that I got a Vet that I trust. they have given me many breaks on the bills and some free antibiotics recently (they had expired a few days before) so they didn't charge me. I really hate when I have to deal with the "emergency vet" down the street from me.. They want money before they even perform services and if you don't have it they suggest putting your animal down.. Yea- they really care!
