Printer Problem

Well, I'm back again with yet another problem..This time its my printer. It is a HP F380 all in one and its been working fine until today. When I try to print it tells me its offline. Its plugged in and connected and the message also tells me to add printer? It already was added. Do I have to reinstall it and if so what do I do? Thanks in advance for help thats out there,,yup, lost again..J

try to come off the adapter cable for 5-10 seconds and plug it in again, then make sure you select the printer driver according to your printer brand.

You're welcome, that's is good the driver is working. Because, my driver printer is not HP so you can learn anything here. There might be you got some information, and idea. Thank you for the BR, it seems the problem has been resolved.

Hi May Thanks for taking the time to help..Like I said I am so illerate at fixing stuff as this is my first computer and I'm still very much a "newbie". I understand the adapter cable part but how do I select the printer driver? Hope you can respond. Thanks,,J

Hi May I ended up going to the HP web site and reinstalled drivers from there. All is working fine now. Thanks so much for taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it as this is my first computer and there is so much to learn..but I am learning!! J

When you tell it to print and the window pops up that lets you tell it how many copies or what pages to print, etc., Check to see if the box for your pronter is checked. If everything is installed and you have used the troubleshooting guide and it still won't print try reinstalling the software.

Thank you Canellita,,I will try both things now. I am so technically illerate that its amazing I've gotten as far as I have with this computer. MyLotters have helped me to solve two major problems I had just recently and I can't tell you how much its appriciated..All the help I found on line today,pertaining to printers, were pay sites with an average price of 12.00 per question..So again, Thanks J

I reinstalled the drivers directly from the HP website and everything is now working fine Thanks again for your help!! J

you must install it correctly and the hardware... check it on device manager if youre using windows..... if you print always check what printer are you using to print a document...
