What's the last thing that you cooked? | | Hey boys and girls!
Today I woke up with a huuuge appetite for pancakes. It lasted all day, so on my way home I had a pit-stop at the supermarket to buy some ingredients. They came out perfect (all gone now, hahaha!), although I'm not used to cooking, but I enjoyed doing them and I guess it matters.
What about you? What's the last thing you cooked? Was it today, a week ago or a few months ago? Do you enjoy the process or you just do it out of hunger?

The last dessert I made was a week or two ago: Apple Crisp! Delicious!
I had pancakes for dinner last week. I was in the mood for them, and they really hit the spot! It's amazing how you can just suddenly crave a food like that.

goodnightmoon (1975) | 2 months ago | I looove Apple Crisp! I was in the mood for it one day and ended up making a couple servings worth... only to realize it was gone within two days! So I made another, still small amount, and it quickly disappeared! lol I have since decided apples by themselves would be much healthier, so they have replaced my need for the crisp.
I definitely have to be in the right mood to make anything. If I'm really hungry, I don't have the patience and I "eat on the job." Then when the actual food (dinner, dessert) is done, I'm no longer hungry. Or if it's complicated and/or needs to be watched (like tapioca pudding, grrr), it gets tedious and I'm quick to decide not to make it again.
My cooking is still at the "beginners" stage too, I just have a few pieces that I've mastered through the years. I find a lot of the times, cooking can be really relaxing... especially any meals that deal with cutting veggies (or fruits). That's my favorite.
