Picking on people

I usually don't say anything to anyone when they are being rude but I will have to admit that I did do this once. There was a lady with a walker trying to get into the grocery store. She had got stuck on some rubber mate that was laying there. A man spoke up and said why she talking so long,she have her son to go shopping for her. I turned around to him and said is that your mom..He turned his head and never said another word. I did go help the lady get unstuck and she went on in. I think that is horrible for people to act like that to the disable people or anyone. Great discussion and have a great day. Keep smiling.

I am with you. It is so wrong for a person to pick omn or tease a person because of their disability. I think people do this because they are weak or have a personal problem with theriself they are trying to take on someone else. It is very sad. I have defended people who were being picked on befiore. Atleast I am able to defend myself, and will!!

I cannot stand people who do that. I think they like to pick on other people because they are insecure themselves. they feel better about themselves by putting others down. I think it just goes to show how disrespectful they really are.

My husband is disabled, he used a cane first, and then he used a walker, and now is in a power wheelchair and I have noticed, not that someone says something rude, but how there are some people who stand in the way and I have to holler "excuse me!" So even if they do not say anything, they are being rude.

I hate such things. It comes from small-minded, mean-spirited people whose esteem is basically in the toilet!

Yes, I do speak up when/if I see such things!

I do not make fun of disabled person too. For me disabled person don't really want what happen to their physical body but they have no choice but to accept it. There situation is not simple and they are always will hear this criticism behind them. I respect them and even help some of them while on the street. There are many disabled person that despite their situation they able to live a regular life and they want to be normal like us. We must be thankful that it does not happen to us, so why not treat them nicely and respect them instead of making fun of them. I am too hurt when a disabled were picked and I just make a bad stare of the people doing it because they must have been blind.

People who pick on disabled persons are really disgusting. I seldom get involved in others bussiness,but if i see somebody bully disabled people i will definitely criticize such behaviou. And in my country most people will do this like me.We should feel sympathy for the disabled one instead of looking down upon them.Jugsjugs,your are a nice guy.

I hate to see people picking on disabled people or older people. If someone needs help opening a door whether they are disabled or an elderly person I will help them out. Now I am elderly myself but can still help other who need it and I will as long as I can. The ones picking on disable people or elderly people think it makes them look cool or gives them power.

I also hate the one who taking the mickey out of or picking on disabled people.We should pay more attention to disabled people and do our best to help them when they need help,but not to take the micky out of or pick on them. The one who like taking the micky out of disabled peoble can't understand the feelings until they are picked on.They have no mercy,no morality.We should show they how to treat others.

I think that one who pick on the diabled lad should be a diabled man in his mentality!
