The left has far more "Rush's" than the right. I'm proud to say that I like NONE of them on either side! lol ... The zealotry is too much for me. But as I've personally said a million times over by now, it's "okay" to be that way if you're on the left. There's simply no one to hold them accountable for their actions. They marginalized (preemptively and purposefully, I might add) the "other side" just to have this free reign. It's something that independent-thinking people, conservative, liberal, in the middle and otherwise, should be DEMANDING to take back.

Several of the "quotes" (hey, I put the word "quotes" in quotes) can be traced to one particular person on the net using the name Cobra. He is the sole source for blog comments and entries in wikiquotes for most of the lies being spread. None of the quotes being attributed to Rush can be verified or sourced.

Debra, you say if he did not say what he was accuse of he should sue. I've said it several times but I'll say it again...it was WRONG of those who lied about things he's allegedly said. I think it's just as wrong for someone to lie about him even though I can't stand him as it would be to lie about someone I like...lol! If I'm not mistaken, many of the quotes that did not come from his radio show or his time as an ESPN announcer were taken from a book, something like "101 People Who Screwed Up the World" or whatever so is it the author of that book that should be sued and if so, why hasn't that already happened a long time ago since that book was written quite some time ago? In any case, wouldn't that really open up a can of worms since there have been dozens of books written about various public figures and there are blogs, newspaper columns and TV shows about people everyday that aren't truthful? From what I've heard the thing that sunk his Rams deal the most was his disparaging remarks about Donovan McNabb and other football players and that has been verified so I don't think it would work for him to sue claiming he was dropped from the bid due to untrue claims about him.

I'm not a Rush fan and couldn't care less if this guy succeeds as a radio host or an NFL owner or not, but a lot of people seem to have trouble separating the myth from facts.

No one is able to provide any legitimate Rush soundbite except for the McNabb comment, which might be wrong but isn't racist, and the bloods vs. crips comment, which is a distasteful comment but, again, I don't see how it's racist.

Feel free to enlighten me.

Yes, I suppose Rush has said some nasty things about people....but I also think that he's just returning the favor...conservatives like Rush, aren't the only ones who use bad words and have mean thoughts.

The Bloods vs Crips comment was part of a conversation regarding the unprofessional behavior of players, nothing to do with the color of the players. In fact, in the course of the conversation Rush and a caller discussed how it all began with Mark Gastineau, a white player with the NY Jets. The transcript can be read in full, but why would anyone bother when they can take one sentence and try to destroy someone with lies?

I think the mustache put under Obama and Pelois noses is a indication people believe they both are taking our country in to a dictatorship same as Hitler did in his time,in my opinion I completely agree and Obama and Polise has earned the Hitler mustache at least they both have earned it and can not be accused of stealing it,lol

I don't listen to Rush so I won't make a judgment call on whether or not he's racist. I will say as I have been saying-adding lies to the truth of what he actually said is just as bad as what he said in the first place.
I can name numerous people I'd like to never hear from again, but we do have freedom of speech and we have to take the bad with the good, whether we agree with it or not.

It used to be....way back when I was a kid that people could think for themselves. If someone's words were wrong, or hateful, or dergogatory...people ignored them and went on. Or someone got up and debated them on their message. Or people would boycott them if they were in business. Look what they're doing to Glen Beck for crying out loud. Now we have to be protected from the idiots of the world....which is demeaning to me. It means those doing the protecting think I can't think for myself.



It's the lazy way to deal with those you disagree with...expecting big brother to step in and shut them up. Cause if big brother changes his mind about YOU...he wills surely step in and shut YOU up too.

Don't like what Rush says...say so! But don't sick government dogs on him or anyone else you disagree with. This whole episode proves my point. Either Rush will change the way he communicates...or less people will listen to him. Funny thing is....he and Mr. Beck seem to be gaining more of an audience. ???? That must mean....people agree? I really distrust those who want only ONE viewpoint expressed or discussed.

People don't like what she says...but they sure do like to respond to her discussions, don't they!

She's being heard though isn't she? I personally think that she's made her point often enough....and in my eyes it's a pretty brave thing to put yourself out there, knowing that you will be ridiculed for what you believe.

I have yet to see published anywhere any quotes from Rush that were disparaging to particular players nor anywhere that we have the names of these players that didn't want Rush in the NFL for what he said about them. I would like to see that verified.

The bottom line is this...they get to call him and other conservatives bad names, but if a conservative does it...they are racist. That became very apparent to me during the summer townhall meetings.
