ramen noodles ideas... |
|
I have discovered Ramen noodles! They are so inexpensive it's great! I don't use the packet that comes with them, I usually boil them along with some sort of vegetable mix. I pour the noodles and frozen veggies into a bowl (a serving size) while I start the water. Then I just boil them all together and strain the water off. Then I sprinkle parmesan cheese over it.It works for a great light evening meal. I throw the packet away as it has msg and all kinds of salt in it. I have heard it would make a good addition to soups though!
What's your favorite Ramen noodle dish?
Hey.. gotta love 'em.. they are like 12-15 cents a package; and I get two meals out of each package as I only use a half at a time!

macdingolinger (1223) | 3 months ago | lol! I love cheese too! I enjoy my little ramen noodle dish. I haven't heard of the other kind though. I don't use the packet which I think is very unhealthy, but the noodles are a great quick meal now and then! It's great in the evenings when I don't want to overload!

4. thea09 (4657) | 3 months ago | Hi macdlingolinger, I sometimes get them as a snack for my son when he's hungry after school but like you just use the noodles without the pre packaged rehydrated seasonings. However they are the lazy option rather than the cheap option as cost almost one Euro a packet which is more than one dollar so not the cheapest option as with you.

macdingolinger (1223) | 3 months ago | It is delicious! It's also cheap and easy!! I hope you like it. Just buy a package of frozen veggetables. I get different kinds. Like one time I will get one with asparagus and the next time maybe with broccoli. I mix it up that way. And the bag is like a pound so it will last several meals like that!

macdingolinger (1223) | 3 months ago | I used to make them with the packet for my kids. I didn't add the milk or butter. I just cooked them for the three minutes then drained the noodles. I then added the seasoning packet. I usually added a side dish like some ranch style beans and some home canned green beans... there you go; quick and easy once again!

macdingolinger (1223) | 3 months ago | What is "siopao"? I haven't heard of that. I also never heard of eating ramen noodles for breakfast. I'm game for about everything though! My son-in-law mixes boiled eggs with noodles. I haven't tried it yet; but maybe I will soon now!

macdingolinger (1223) | 3 months ago | I don't guess I've ever seen them offered in a restaurant. But then, of course I don't eat out very often anyway! How were they served in the restaurant? Was it with cheese, or vegetables, or some sort of meat. I guess I have seen them in Chinese food places now that I think about it!
