ramen noodles ideas...

I do the same thing, I ditch the sodium bombs and go for tuna noodle casserole. I usually use 2 packages for a family of 4, add some cream of mushroom soup and a can of tuna. I love them because it don't takes a couple minutes for the noodles to be ready and it's great when you want something in a hurry. I also use tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese, sometimes I use ranch dressing and add chicken. There are so many different combinations for noodles. I like your idea with veggies, I haven't tried that but I would like that with ranch dressing too.

i do have some ramyeon noodles but only eat them for emergencies. i used to really like it before but got tired of the taste. I buy those Korean ramyeon (neoguri and shin ramyeon) but it cost $0.80-$1 but it think it's safer and better than those chinese ramyeon.
anyway, i would love to try your way because i love cheese

Hi macdlingolinger, I sometimes get them as a snack for my son when he's hungry after school but like you just use the noodles without the pre packaged rehydrated seasonings. However they are the lazy option rather than the cheap option as cost almost one Euro a packet which is more than one dollar so not the cheapest option as with you.

I have tried them with the cheese from mac and cheese and they were delicious. But, right now I think i'm gonna try what you said and make it with vegetables and parmesan cheese. It sounds delicious.

Here's a way to make them while still using the seasoning packet it comes with.

boil the noodles till their done
strain the noodles and put them back in the pan
add 1/8 tablespoon butter an 1/4 cup milk
add the seasoning and stir the noodles

and there you have it
tasty ramen noodles

I usually boil them with chicken stock and add spring onions, pepper, and pieces of chicken. I love them because they are so cheap and can be cooked within minutes and you have a meal.

wow! that is so economical. i do cook ramen too but we eat for breakfast. i add either chicken, ground pork, ground beef or boiled egg in it. aside from that i put vegetables like carrot, celery, red or green pepper, onion, garlic and onion leaf or leak. just add salt and pepper to season it. my family loves it too. it's good for snack as well together with siopao and bread.

i love ramen noodles,not expensive,but i like enjoy it in restaurant!
