Do u bond more with your dad or ur mom

Hi Pretty,

Most of the parents used to say that girls are more attached with
father and boys are attached with mothers, it may true and may not true,
and it all depends upon the situation and freedom of the parents. According
to my knowledge those parents who are given more freedom to the son
then of course the son is having more attachment with them like wise daughter
too, so it all depends of the way they are dealing with the boys and girls
of the kids in the family at the home. So according to my view I am used
to love my parents because both are give the more freedom to me, that was the
main reasons I have liked both of them. So try to mingled with your father
and then you will gets more freedom from him, and then you are also dady
girl at the earliest.

I was always very close to both of my parents.My dad passed away just over a year and ahalf ago.I am still very close to my mother.Both my parents were divorced when i was 14 years old so i grew close to both of them with them being in different life styles.Try to take time in going to see him more often as well as going places together.

i am closer to my mom ever since... for a reason that my father is always not home & my mom is always there with me...and also my father is quiet type and always serious when i was younger...
but now, i can say that i am bonded to both of them...but of course with different aspects...
like, with my mom i can talk anything even about my lovelife...
with my dad, our topics are just different but i can still talk freely to him...

when i was your age, i am also not bonded to my father, and we even have some issues...what i just do, is i just try talking to him and free myself from those awkward feelings that i have with my father...maybe you should not stop trying and just be patient...time will come that you will be bonded to your father as well...just continue being a good child to them...no matter what.

hi IndGal I dont have advices on how to bond more with your dad cause my parents divorced when I was not even 2 years old and my mom thanks God had full custody for me. That was good for me as my father made sure he will get his paternal rights for my visits but misuse them to belittle me and destroy the little self esteem I had an tell lies about my mom as well. Sooooooo I never bonded with my father.
In fact after he threw me out of the house twice only cause I did not want to listen to his lies any more and to his false witnesses I decided thats enough and never set foot into there for the last 15 years of his lifetime. He passed away in 2000 but I was not even at the funeral and to this very day never missed him.

Hi prettyindGal, as for me, since my mom is working abroad and the only time i get to see her is about 1 month a year. I guess im having more time bonding with my dad.. Actually me and my younger sister do bond with our dad more especially when we have the same rest day that we tend to take our dad out to watch a movie, go to a mall,shop, and eat out..=) But when my mom is around we tend to bond so much too, we went out of town, shop, watch movies and eat out too..=)

Both my parents are gone, but I was always closer to my dad who seemed to have patience and understanding for me. We were much alike, which made life for both of us difficult with my mother, She didn't like either of us much at all, no matter what we did. My brother and sister were more adored by my mother and they were themselves closer to her as well. Alot to do with personalities of course, I know that too, but she set them on pedestals and used them as examples of behaviour, even though she was unkind to them too often.

I tried different times in my life to get closer to my mother but it was very hard. She wasn't mentally so stable so that anything I might say or not or do or not do, was trouble for me. She lived a horrible life though wartime as a child and so I sympathize, but then, as I was a child, it was tough. I was sooo grateful for my dad, just to get a smile and a hug from a parent sometimes.

I don't know what to tell you about bonding with your dad. It is hard and I am hardly a good example for you to follow. I know I worked very hard always to please my mother even till she died and yet I felt I never did.

well i am a guy i bond more with my mom
but i really cannot say with whom i bond the most because both of them are very close to me but i find time more with my mom than my dad
so i guess my mom..........

this is not a fact of worriment. you are not only facing these things. more people are thinking thus .

you can try these things to improve your mom

1. do the task she wanting to done by you before her notification
2. please try to understand what she is trying to make you understand
3. before giving any response to their talk think if you were in the place of your mother.......
4. what you are doing is it really worthy
5. try to study sufficiently
6. think about her mood,
7. try to avoid the tasks that she dislikes
8. give her a gift in mothers day or in womens day

I bond more with my mom. We have more in common and talk just about everyday. We also seem to understand each other better than my dad and I.
