|  Did you all hear about Ralph Lauren telling one of his models she was to fat to use in his new shoot?
The model was 5'10", weighed 120 pounds! Her head was bigger than her hips!
This is ridiculous to say she was to big for anything!
Guess if he saw me it would hurt his eyes! At 5'2 I am bigger than her!

| |  This particular model had worked for them for many years, and per contract was not supposed to go over a certain weight. Now I could see if the weight was a tad higher, but 120 on a 5 10 frame, come on, that is just absurd. It is difficult to understand why anyone thinks these practices are ethical. These designers should be ashamed in my opinion.

| |  I heard about this but didn't know the measurements. Oh my God, I'm 120 lbs but I'm only 5' 4" and I have a nice figure. This model has to be a toothpick. I can't believe the gaul of Ralph Lauren to say such a thing. Now what does that say to the young girls out there. I think people should boycott buying his clothes then see how he likes that.

| |  i think her picture was computer manipulated to make her look different and distorted. and they later said that it was due to contract dispute between the model and ralph lauren.
but i think 5 ft 10 at 120 1bs looks good.
i am a small boned 5 ft 8 at 110 1bs, and i look proportional and i like the way i look.

| |  I think our world overall has a pretty warped idea of what a woman should look like. And the fashion world has an ever MORE warped idea.
That's why we have teenage girls with anorexia. Heck there's even adult women with it!
It's a shame more people don't realize that we are SUPPOSED to come in different shapes and sizes...
