Wednesday was interesting. When I came into the classroom, I was told by my mentor teacher that we had lost two students. One who was a real terror and one who was fairly good. We got two new girls. The day started with me and the aid cleaning the tables for the students. Then, the breakfast came and as the teacher did opening exercises and the aid help bring the bus kids in, I had to cut oranges into fourths. It was super annoying, but I pretended I didn't mind. Then, we did dancing. The boy who always gives me a hard time wanted to dance with me. After that, two kids from my class were picked to do the flag salute. We're still rusty, because the school has only been doing it about two weeks. Next, we had breakfast. Once again, the kids acted like pigs and made a mess. I'm getting very annoyed with my table. They always take too long. I'm also annoyed with one girl who is super slow at everything and nonresponsive. I've learned from the mentor teacher she's in a foster home, but I'm getting tired of her behavior. Urban schools can be very tiring. We deal with issues I feel teachers shouldn't have to, and often taken the role of socal worker (which we don't get paid for and at the moment, I'm not getting paid for none of my time and energy.). Then, I helped prepared toothbrushes and called them one by one to brush teeth. Next, we cut out pumpkins. I had to help a lot of kids and there were three students I outright did it for. That took so long, we had lunch after that. Lunch went pretty fast, though. Next was nap time. The aid went to lunch and came back earlier. I was annoyed because I thought I could leave, but it wasn't our time yet. I went to lunch and got to unwind. When I cam back, we finished nap and did a few songs. Helped students put on coats and went outside. We got to look at the outside of the bookmobile. The kids played, but some got out of head and fought. The boy I don't like fell down and I helped him up. He hugged me and told me I was a good teacher.
Then we went in and lined up for the bus. We got out too early, and had to wait on the benches. Sitting there, some of the kids sang. I cracked up when one of the kids choose "You spin me right round".
Then, the aid came out and they tried to switch lines and I had to keep them sepereated. So, I was at the end of the line and made sure everyone got on the bus. Then, I went back into the classroom and left. That day, the bus came early.

I think your very selfish actually!, I teach kids who are from foster homes and who came from bad familys and i get rubbish pay aswell, Your supposed to be an adult and a person who who has been entrusted to look after children and the way you have just spoken about those children is disgusting, personally i would not want you teaching any of my kids if i knew you were bad mouthing them the minute they went home!, And the child you were refering to who came from a foster home may have many deep problems and could be have the worst time of her life!, And for you to be so upset about a little thing like not eating her dinner quick enough is ridiculous! If you are like that with children who have severe problems through no fault of their own then what are you like with the normal kids??? You should listen to yourself as you sound very selfish!!!

Another busy day. Those kids sound like hard work all you seem to do is feed them ,I have never heard of kids brushing their teeth at school before. It sounds like you have a lot of special needs kids they are always harder to look after and teach.Sounds like you are making a friend of that naughty little boy.He must trust you to give you a hug ,it is hard work spending all day with little kids.
