Is sushi becoming the new trend? email this discussion to a friend?

I have recently started working at a sushi and hibachi restaurant. IT seems very popular in town, as Fushi Yami gets a lot of business. I enjoy working there, and have even tried some of the delicious rolls. I am wondering if sushi is becoming a new trend because it is healthier than most other places like Pizza Hut or McDonalds. The sushi rolls we have are the California roll, the Snow Crab Roll, and even vegetarian rolls the the Avocado roll, or my favorite, the Spicey Veggie Crunch. Some of the meat is smoked, and some raw. The Nigiri sushi is good, but I recommend the Hibachi Grill style cooking of meat, veggies, and rice. Yummy! Does this food, although restaurant food, sound healthier to you? Have you noticed sushi as a new trend? Is oriental tea part of this trend, too?

my fave is spicy tuna with white tuna on top and lots and sesame seeds also sea urchin. oolong tea has always been a part of asian cuisine, but the truly good stuff is jasmine or lotus tea, i love that stuff. when i lived in Georgia there was a sushi restaurant on every corner the now in florida where fish is abundant there's not that many but the ones that are here are always packed full of people. i myself can take or leave the hibachi grill i'd much rather have sashimi without the rice only because if it's not a roll i dont do rice . by the way congrats on graduating basic IM TRULY IMPRESSED WITH ANY WOMAN WHO JOINS ANY MILITARY SERVICE....DAVE.. I tried sushi once, I didn't like it. I, however, know a young man who loves the stuff - but he's a kind of strange fellow - I mean, he cooked SNAILS for his teachers once....

I don't think I could ever eat snails. Yet the sushi I have tried is really good, especially the crab meat in the California roll and Snow Crab roll. There are other ingredients in most of the rolls that meld together with the meat as one awesome flavor. If you ever decide to try sushi, give the California roll a shot.

That's the one I tried, too fishy for me - and mind you, I ate fish tonight, so I don't hate the stuff, just don't like a strong fishy flavor

Hi, Foo!
Around here, sushi's been in for a very long time. It is very healthy, so I tried to like it, but it just doesn't work for me. When I go to a sushi place with friends, I just drink a lot of yummy, healthy green tea!

I like tea, too. At the restaurant, they sell both green and brown rice tea, which my co-worker tells me is liek wheat tea. I have been drinking white tea lately, for I hear since it is less processed, it contains more nutrients like green tea. Very healthy combo, sushi and tea.
