Philippines are known for celebrating the longest Christmas in the world. We start decorating and preparing for Christmas as soon as the -ber months start (which is September) up until the first week of January (Three Kings). I think this is mainly because we start feeling the Christmas breeze around that time. It gets colder aand colder starting from September and it puts us all in the mood for Christmas since it is the next huge celebration for us. (We don't really decorate for Holloween because our idea of holloween is going to the cementeries to visit our loved ones who have passed away.) We do not spend a lot of time for holloween, i think it is only the malls who are into Holloween decorating and if you may notice in the malls, Christmas starts at September and they only start selling holloween stuff a week or two before the Holloween and resume the CHristmas theme immediately after Holloween..hehe.. I think that is really a nice tradition to have a long Christmas because people are set to the giving and sharing mode.:D
