What do you think/like about Stargate universe?

I hear it will be more serialized than the previous two series. This one seems to focus more on the characters.I wonder if the different approach is enough to interest newcomers and to keep hardcore SG fans interested.

Rush does have some issues. What's a scifi show without a mad scientist type of person. i think he is not really as clueless as he appears to be.

Its a nice show. Right now there are three series in the franchise. The stargate is a ring that forms a wormhole between itself and another stargate on another world. People travel through the stargate to other planets throughout the galaxy. Each of these stargates has an address which is dialed to activate a wormhole between that gate and the gate from which you are dialing.
The stargate has nine chevrons. each of these chevrons locks in a symbol which makes up the address to the other gate. For travel within our galaxy only seven chevrons are used. Six represent the destination in a 6 dimensional address and the seventh is the point of origin.
The eighth chevron is used to travel outside our galaxy. 8 symbol address use up more power than the regular addresses. In the new series the use of the ninth chevron is found out. When people step in through the stargate which has been activated using a nine symbol address, they end up on a ship called destiny. They are galaxies away from earth and have no way of coming back at the moment.
The group trapped on the ship is a multinational group and there are alot of flashbacks so maybe we might see some cricket in there,lol.
There is more drama in it than the previous series and it is planned to be more serialized than the others. maybe this approach would hold your attention.
