Sweet noodles or Payasam is a special dish we prepare to celebrate birthdays. The ingredients are Milk, noodles, ghee, sugar, cashews, rasins, and cardomom powder. It is very easy to prepare. I like to have it cold.

Hi daliaj,
You are talking about the ‘Semiya payasam’ oh really tasty dear. It is very easy to prepare and kids too like it. It is not costly too so if you want to make a sweet dish then can easily depend on the same. Now it seems people are replacing the ‘pradhaman’ with this dish just for the easiness.

It is nice to find another lover of ada payasam. Two people below said that they love ada payasam. I had it only once in my life during a Kerala Hindu wedding. I liked it so much, but I never knew that I could get it instant froma shop. I need to go search to get it from some Kerala shops. Thanks for the response.

I also like hot and spicy noodles. I am from India and most of our food are spicy and hot. This sweet noodles has entirely different taste. If you are fond of sweet food, you can try this. I have given in the recipe as a comment to the first response. Thanks for your response.

So you are talking about vermicelli kheer or payasam. As you have said it is very easy to prepare it. My daughter loves that payasam. We make it often and do not wait for an occassion. As our family is a sweet tooth we relish it at any time of the day. A cold vermicelli payasam tastes excellent. Try it if you have not tasted it that way.
