how many years old your friendship?

As far as friendship goes with me has been bad since childhood. This does not mean that I can't be a good friend. I said this because in my life friends came for some months or a few years then they get so busy that they don't talk. My school friends, I still got numbers of them, they also live in the same city as I am but they are so busy in their lives that they don't have time. So far, friendship means to me a selfish relation. People were my friends just for their own purpose and when their specific work from me was finished then no sign and contact of them.

You are lucky that you have a best friend and you both contact and talk even you are in different cities.

wow over 30 yrs for one of them and the others for about 25 yrs....We have all moved to various areas of course over the yrs and dont get to see each other much but we talk regularly..and there was a period of time when I had "disappeared" for lack of a better way to put it and there was times when a couple of htem had moved far away and we'd lost touch etc etc but once we were back in touch it was like nothing had changed and no time had passed

I knew my best friend for a very long time...Its almost 13 years now..I came to know her when we are both in standard V,and she joined our school for the first time.

Hi sunithajp, my best friend and I have been friends for 31 years despite many moves on both our parts and even now living in different countries. It can be generally harder to keep friendships this long when two parties often move around a lot. Unfortunaltel international phone costs mean we don't speak often but there is email and visits.

I've had a friendship that has been going for 9 years and most of the time it bought more pain that anyone could ever imagine. However till now I have been able to accept things as they are.

I am very bad at keeping in touch with people and I have lost touch with many friedns over the years. Facebook has allowed me to find some of these lost friends and re-connect. My best friend and I have been friends for about 12 years, even when I have moved to other countries we have kept in touch. I am now living in a different country again and miss our nights in catching up.

Me and my best friend know each other for the past 19 years, ie., from 1992. Both of us are now married and are in different parts of the world yet we are in touch with each other. We are in touch through various channels like social networking sites, chat, emails, etc.

well, i've been reconsidering my relationship with one of my friend recently, it's hurts when i find that there's little honesty between us.
we were both like each other and support each other when the first year we met and we were deskmates. it's so sweet. but something has changed and.. wow.. girls are just sensitive~
i even don't know what to say about it when i came across this topic.
i mean, about friendship, we really need to take care good of that!
and i think maybe we could never understand one if we think we understand them more than anyone else in this world, see, i got wrong.

our friendship is about 6-7 years old. I got her in college and still we the bestest friends and have a talk or scrape every day.
