Mouse driver can't sense the mouse |

The mouse driver can't sense the mouse. What do you people suggest to do? Uninstall the driver? Or something else? Can I uninstall & then reinstall the mouse driver only(no the whole Windows setup)? How? I use windows SP-2.

| geiseric (90) | 2 months ago | some more info -
1) My mouse is Frontech JIL-1793 optical mouse
2) No problem in mouse, I think. I tried another mouse but faced the same problem.
3) Didn't found any 'Mice & other....' driver in 'device manager'(& can't surely say it was there earlier )
4) After doing 'start->control panel->mouse->hardware tab', no device was found(earlier it specified the name of the device ).
5) Downloaded & installed microsoft mouse drivers, but no change!

In 'add hardware', I got no option named 'mouse'. I manually installed Intellpoint, but no change. Formatted 'C:' drive - fruitless.

3. AndrewFreyne (2546) | 2 months ago | You say mouse driver but what kind of mouse are you using, wireless or cable? Your windows system should recognise your mouse with you not having to do anything, referred to as plug and play. If you are using a third party mouse though i.e. wireless then you may have to reinstall the device driver for the mouse using the driver cd that came with the mouse. Do you remember what you were doing when the mouse was working? Was there anything that took place just before this problem? Andrew
