nrtan2000 (965) | 1 month ago | lol. Why won't you start putting up your tree earlier this year. That way, you'll have a longer time of Christmas spirit and since it gives you same work putting up and taking it down.

2. Jennlk84 (2252) | 1 month ago | wow! seems so soon - and I LOVE Christmas! lol
We typically put our tree up around Thanksgiving. Usually right after. Then we take it down a few weeks into the new year. We have a fake tree, so I enjoy keeping it up as long as we can!

3. shia88 (826) | 1 month ago | HI Nrtan,
I never putting up a christmas tree in my whole life.So I can tell you that I am not celebrating Christmas. For me, Christmas is just another day,it is public holiday and also my family day as my husband gets off from work too.
Normally, I will spent my christmas at my hometown for the past few years. There are nothing special. No celebration and just like a normal day for me.
Only during Chinese New Year, then I will feel the joyness and always looking forward to it every year.

4. mdvarghese (991) | 1 month ago | Hi..nrtan
The Christmas and the Celebrations are an excitement. In my Childhood we used to wait for the Christmas Vacations for the preparations of the Christmas Tree, Crib and the Stars. We used to put homemade Stars and the Crib. Our christmas Tree was one Beautiful Tree in our Courtyyard. We used to decorate it beautifully. Nowadays, we will get everything readymade. Nowadays my children will start the preparations in the mid December and will keep the Star, christmas Tree and the Crib till 15th of January

5. dorannmwin (1710) | 1 month ago | Our Christmas tree will not go up before the 4th of December. The reason for this is that my daughter's birthday is on the 4th of December and I like to be able to keep her birthday and Christmas as seperate as possible. I was devestated that she was born that close to Christmas and I was afraid that her birthday would frequently be forgotten because of all the preparations for Christmas. Therefore, we don't start any of our Christmas traditions until after we've celebrated her birthday.

vandana7 (1308) | 1 month ago | Hi dorannmwin, I didnt know that u all start preparing for Christmas that early! I always thought may be the Christmas tree is put up around 22nd or 23rd of December, u know. Out here, we have ample Christians, and Catholics. I even grew up in a convent. But I never got to c a real Christmas tree.:( Well, - to be honest, the nuns did cut some branch of a tree, and make it stand up somewhat straight in a bucket full of sand. But that was drooping, and the leaves were drying, and so it didnt really impress me. What I liked about Christmas was a lot of carols being sung, we walked with candles during the nights - went for midnight mass, and a lot of yummy food, and of course, we got gifts.:)

nrtan2000 (965) | 1 month ago | Hi there!=) That's nice of you to give special attention to your daughter.=) Somehow it's also good to be close to Christmas, I think it's more special and memorable.

nrtan2000 (965) | 1 month ago | Hi vandana!=) You grew up in a convent? How was it like? Yea, I think I can imagine the songs being sung and church bells ringing during mornings, I love that. It reminds me more that Christmas is getting nearer. It gives Christmas more spirit.

It takes us several days because we have so much stuff and we like to put a few things outside and do the house and make it all pretty and festive!

7. highflyingxangel (8915) | 1 month ago | We actually have to buy ourselves a tree. This is our first year officially living together so we do not have a tree to speak of. I'm hoping that we'll get ahold of a tree pretty soon. We were just at Walmart and they are starting to put out some Christmas decorations, so I'm truly hoping that they'll have trees soon and we can make a decision about what tree to buy.

9. bing28 (1910) | 1 month ago | I'm always excited about christmas, our neighbors are starting to put up their christmas lights at their windows and verandas. Before we used to decorate at the end of November but maybe this time since we have old christmas decors and just add little new ones we may start decorating after All Souls Day and also start putting up our Christmas Tree. It's much inspiring having an early welcome of Christmas and feeling it on the air by seeing decorations around the house. This offers positive vibrations of having a Merry Christmas ahead.

| 10. Kewlbeans (10) | 1 month ago | I usually put my Christmas tree up the first week of Dec. I love to decorate the tree and bring in the Christmas feeling but I always have to do it alone. My family just doesn't get into it. Even if I try and hold a little party they just don't like doing it. This is far from how I grew up! My mom always liked to put the tree up right after Thanksgiving. She would have a decorating party and fix little appetizers for us to munch while we decorated. This year will be different though. We are moving. However we're not sure when. Supposedly sometime in Dec. I don't know if I should decorate anyway and just take the decorations down or just not do it this year. It's also been a tradition for us to leave the Christman tree up until after New Years for good luck. Has anyone else heard of this tradition? Whatever you decide it is nice to hear about people getting excited about Christmas! It is a wonderful time of year!
