It Is My Mum's Birthday and I Can't Be With Her!  |

 Right now, 23rd of October, it is my mum's birthday. I can not celebrate it with her because, as most of you know, she died in 2007. I just wanted to post a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her because I know she posted heaps of things about me on Yahoo Questions and Answers...Obviously when she was alive.
What do you do when you can not celebrate something with someone who is no longer with you?

| 1. lemondrop55 (40) | 2 months ago |  my grandfather died in 2001 and every year on his birthday i go to the store buy some flower a little case of matches and a candle and i go to his grave site i light the candle put my flowers and place and wish him a happy birthday and sorry that he's not able to be with my family to celebrate it.....and sorry about your mom.

went many years back, as its getting close to Thanksgiving
and she died on Thanksgiving day so that holiday holds bittersweet memories for me. And I often think of my husband
who died way back in 1991, specially on Dec.29th his birthday.

I can only say that for many many MANY years I have not been able to speak to my dad for any birthday....or anything else really so yeah, in a way I know what it is like.

I am sorry you can't share it with your mom, but I have faith in God and believe your mom has not left you and in fact is with you and looks after you. What do you do? well you celebrate all the amazing memories you can remember from when your mom was alive and all the great things she did for you. I think you would want to do some good for someone in her name and I think she would want you to be happy, live life, prosper and get past the sorrows and tribulations live brings your way. I think you should celebrate her every day by reaching you stars in her name.
