As Barack Obama fades in public opinion his lack of citizenship refuses to go away for more then a year Obama has refuses to do the right thing and summit his original long form Hawaii birth certificate,Obama is so definant he has paid more then one millions bucks to his team of attorneys and in court fees this past year to keep this legal documnet under lock and key, what would the liberals say if Senator John McCain or President George W.Bush had done such a thing as Barack Hussein Obama has done with out shame?

ELIGIBILITY LAWYER ORLY TATIZ TAKE JUDGE LAND TO A HIGHER COURT!!!!
A California attorney who has worked on a multitude of legal challenges debating the eligibility of Barack Obama to be president – because of questions over his ability to meet the U.S. Constitution's requirement for a president to be a "natural born" citizen – is taking a federal district judge's conclusions in her case to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, accusing the judge of intimidation.

Judge Land isn't in any ones pocket eh? But thats ok, that just gets Orly Taitz closer to the Supreme Court. Lets see Sotomoyor pay her way!

Did you bother to read Judge Land's decision before commenting? It's, I belive (don't have it in front of me but I've read it) 14 pages long and goes point by point. Don't be so quick to jump off the cliff with the other lemmings and assume that the judge in this case is in anyone's poket.

I don't get this - why wouldn't Obama just shut everyone up by producing not only his birth certificate but his college transcripts. What is one these documents that he doesn't want anyone to see? If I were him I would have whipped those documents out and put a stop to any rumors immediately. I don't know if he just wants people to spend so much time on obtaining these documents that they are overlooking something elsewhere, if he is just stubborn and doesn't want to be force or what the problem is. He wants this country to stand by - ask no questions, make no objects, and in general be nice little sheep while we are lead to slaughter. Doesn't he understand that showing the documents will put a stop to the speculation. What purpose does the speculation serve?

oh heck obama has paid out more then one million bucks because he don't want any one to see his hawaii birth certificate nor his college financial records, normal people would just pay the 15-25 bucks and lay out their birth certificate just to be left the hell alone but not barack hussein obama he has so little on his plate he can play cat and mouse with the american people and hide his legal documents!!!!

Why hasn't anyone in Congress asked for it like they did with McCain? Don't try to tell me that they fear not being re-elected since many of them are in their last terms and have nothing to lose. My theory...they've already seen the proof. It's just not up for public display.

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,391 in politics  3 months ago

It is a democratic control congress, spalladino.

Why would they ask? They want to be in control by having a democratic president who won't veto their cr*p when it is presented to him.

myLot reputation of 79/100. spalladino (9043)   ranked 174 out of 6,391 in politics  3 months ago

Just because the democrats have the majority in Congress does not mean that there are no republicans there, Deb. In fact, there are many of them serving their last term in office so what I would like to know is why none of those republicans asked Obama to produce the same proof that McCain was required to provide...and why are they still silent on the floor?

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,391 in politics  3 months ago

Doesn't there have to be a majority vote for Congress to do something? If there is a majority of Democratic congressmen/women...it makes sense that they'd stick to what is 'good' for their party in a situation like this.

As for the Republicans not speaking up...you know how I think about both parties already, don't you? lol

Here's one who is taking a LOT of flack just for suggesting that perhaps we should be more careful next election:

Posey's H.R. 1503, an amendment to the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, would "require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of president to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution."

From another site:

While it may be too late to revoke Barack Hussein Obama's hold on the Presidency, it is not too late to make the issue of his birth outside of the United States, most likely in Kenya, an issue for Campaign 2012.
With that in mind, a coalition of conservatives and libertarians around the Nation are pushing for the enactment of HR 1503, introduced by freshman Republican Congressman of Florida Bill Posey. The legislation would require proof of birth in the United States of America or its Territories to run for the office of the Presidency. This shall take the form of a valid hospital-issued birth certificate, and not just a receipt for such a certificate as Obama has released.

The legislation got off to a slow start. It was introduced back in March of this year. And only Rep. Bill Goodlatte (R) of Virginia, agreed to sign on as a co-sponsor. Then a few weeks ago, Randy Neugebauer, R-Texas, came on board. Within the last two weeks, 5 Republican Congressmen have signed on. Besides the 3 mentioned, co-sponsors include: Reps. Marsha Blackburn (TN), John Carter (TX), John Culberson (TX), Ted Poe (TX), and Dan Burton (IN). Notably, Burton and Blackburn are considered leaders of the GOP House Caucus.
Of note, on the Senate side, the Hon. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma has gone on record in support of such legislation in that body.

Here's another interesting bit of info that is related to this issue:

Rep. Jim Moran (D., Va.) berated attendees at his town-hall meeting for not being residents of his district, going so far as to demand a driver’s license from one of his questioners to prove his residence. Too bad Moran isn’t equally committed to verifying the identity of people who would receive benefits under the health-care reform legislation he is supporting.

I think I know what your answer to this will be. So, I will try to answer it preemptively. lol

What does it matter which 'district' you live in when asking a Congressman who has the power to affect your life a question? Seems to me ALL Americans would be affected by one Congressman's vote, no matter what Congressional district he represents. If a healthcare bill is passed by just ONE vote, we all get to 'suffer' the consequences, right?

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,391 in politics  3 months ago

If voters have to identify themselves...and prove who they are and where they live...a President should have to identify himself and prove where his loyalties are.

As for privacy issues you've brought up in the past...the government NOW feels WE have no right to privacy. WE are required to show proof of identity for all kinds of things. Why is it ok...for the government to make us feel suspect...and we have no right to be suspicious of THEM?

Man, Deb, you're all over this thread...I can barely keep up with you! lol

"Doesn't there have to be a majority vote for Congress to do something?"

They may need a majority vote in order to pass a resolution but not to bring one to the legislature or to have the Senate Judiciary Committee investigate. As I said below, any member could have sponsored a resolution asking for Obama to provide proof of his eligibility. Other members could have joined in or supported it...like Obama and Clinton did when it came to McCain.

"As for the Republicans not speaking up...you know how I think about both parties already, don't you? lol"

Same here! thumbdown

Can I still post something about Jim Moran's town hall meeting even though you preemtively answered for me? lol

Many of those town hall meetings got very ugly. We had problems here in Florida, especially in the northern part of the state. In one case, one of our reps (I forget her name now) faced a packed house, not everyone could get in and there were confrontations in the hallway, she couldn't get a word in edgewise due to all of the yelling and screaming and it was noted that many of the vehicles in the parking lot had plates from a neighboring state. Her stance, as was Moran's, was that she was there to talk to HER constituents...not folks from outside of her district who were in fact responsible for keeping many of her constituents out of the meeting.

You know, I used to send emails to out of state reps until lilwonders told me that I was actually breaking the law by passing myself off as one of their constituents...so I stopped. I don't believe that we're prohibited from contacting them but I guess we have to identify outselves as being from outside their district and, when it comes to town hall meetings, I believe that outsiders should not be allowed to interfere with the constituents having access to their elected representatives.

"Oddly, though congressional hearings were held to determine whether Sen. John McCain was constitutionally eligible to be president as a "natural born citizen," no controlling legal authority ever sought to verify Obama's claim to a Hawaiian birth."

Why is that, Rose? Why has Congress not addressed this? No judge in any court has any authority over a sitting president so what does Taitz believe she can accomplish...other than gaining media exposure and a cushy book deal?

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,391 in politics  3 months ago

When Congress won't do what it should do, I believe that the court system should be used to redress the situation. What else is there the American people can do to gain satisfaction? There was a loophole in the process, and the DNC made use of it.

Have you considered the fact that BOTH of McCain's parents were American citizens...and Panama was a legal territory of the US...but they still had to question his right to run for president? My question would be...knowing that Obama had a non citizen as one parent, and lived a major portion of his life in a foreign country, WHY wouldn't they question him? The fact that they didn't, makes ME wonder. The answer to that question is obvious to me...they knew his citizenship couldn't stand the scrutiny, so they just swept it under the rug. Spalladino...he's written a letter with HIS signature on it, as President...acknowleging one hospital as his birth place, while on his StopTheSmears website another hospital is listed as his birthplace. The man cannot even keep his lies straight.

myLot reputation of 79/100. spalladino (9043)   ranked 174 out of 6,391 in politics  3 months ago

I did find it very odd that McCain had to go before Congress regarding his birthplace and saw it as political game playing. What I was really surprised by was that no one demanded the same from Obama...the Republican members of Congress were silent and you can't blame that on the DNC. Considering that I'm in Florida and our republican controlled legislature had already played an ugly game, voting to move our Primary election date up so that it would cause the democrats to be in violation of DNC rules...which eventually caused Florida to lose their delegates to the convention for a long period of time...I would assume that the Republicans would continue to strike and that they would take aim at Obama's eligibility, especially in the face of the accusations against McCain. The theory that this was simply swept under the rug would take the cooperation every member of both parties and I don't see that as being very likely, not with the ongoing tension between the Republicans and the Democrats. You also have to consider Hillary Clinton, who was Obama's rival and who had been a popular senator. I said early on that, if there was any dirt on Obama, the Clinton machine would dig it up and I'm confident that they looked long and hard. This was Hillary's shot and she wasn't going to go down easy. She had enough pull to work behind the scenes, calling in favors from both parties, in order to have him appear before Congress, too. The fact that he wasn't says to me that they all were privy to proof that the general public has not seen. Of course, the revolving hospitals do add an interesting twist and there's also the theory that this issue is being allowed to run wild in order to distract us from other things that are going on. Like I've posted before, I would like to see Discovery granted just so this can be put to rest.

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,391 in politics  3 months ago

I believe I've read that it WAS the Clintons that brought this up in the first place. Why she chose not to use it is beyond me. Maybe it had something to do with taking Obama's scraps...and getting to be Secretary of State?

myLot reputation of 82/100. debrakcarey (1351)   ranked 157 out of 6,391 in politics  3 months ago

I do think perhaps this is a diversion. That doesn't take away from it being legitimate though. My opinion is, the American public is far from being diverted...seems to me that we can handle muliple 'fronts' in this war against tyranny. lol

Nope, I can't agree with that because Hillary could have gotten him before the Primary election and she would have won if he'd been out of the running. She wanted to be President BAD...so did Bill. All it would have taken was for a couple of senators to introduce a resolution, which would have been looked at by the Senate Judiciary Committee as happened with McCain. In fact, Hillary could have signed on since both she and Obama supported the one questioning McCain.
