GOD'S had enough! has he given up on us?

Faith needs to be built though, upon belief. Doesnt it stand to reason that faith can become somewhat useless when it comes to something people rely on so much!

IT STARTED WITH ME oops 54 years ago in catholic school not that i continued in there but over the years good and bad ive learned not to question my faith, it only got me into trouble. but that me, everyone is different, whatever floats your boat.

I know what your saying but why does God leave it down to faith? If he is this all powerful wonderful being dont you think that maybe he would give us the proof that alot of us need to actually believe?
I am trying believe me in the past i wouldnt have even asked these questions i would have just said its all a load of codswallop! So i think something is working!

I admire your faith, and can only wish that one day i will have as much faith as you, but i still have loads of questions that need to be answered and ive been told that i will find the answers in the Bible however, i cant bring myself to read it. Im not sure why maybe im just worried that it will bore me and therefore further my disbelief!?!? im not sure.

I wont lie. There are parts of the Bible that I find confusing or even boring, but the Bible as a whole is very interesting. I love the stories of Noah & Abraham. Their faith was amazing & their stories help build up my own faith as well. There are so many stories written about God's faithful people that I know that you wont find the whole Bible boring. You can't expect faith to just come to you. You have to build up your faith, to look for it as you would fine gold or a precious jewel. The Bible is the one place you will find it & the more you read it the more faith you will have. God cannot lie, so you can put your trust in the bible since it was written by Him through man.

Thanks robswife you have given me alot to think about, even as we have discussed this on here tonight its made me realise i must have some faith to even be questioning it!

There are temptations & distractions everywhere we turn. Thats why now more then ever we need to stick close to God. He is our only hope for a better future.

I dont think i am ready to be totally with God as i know i sin all day everyday! even little sins are sins all the same like cursing etc so i just dont know how i can follow him honestly and to the full maybe when i start i will find my faith?!?!

The best thing to remember is that no one is perfect. We were all born in sin & so we are all considered sinners. God understands that & forgives us. There are times when I get angry & a curse will slip out. I ask God for forgivess & try harder to not have such slip ups again, but of course I know that I am not perfect & that if I don't curse I will have a slip up of another kind. Satan likes to use our sins against us. His most powerful tool is to make us feel we are not worthy to serve God. Sadly most of us believe just that & so we do not serve Him. It's just important to remember that you are not perfect & that God not only understands this but loves us in spite of this. Also remember that if we ask for forgiveness & try our best not to commit the same sins over & over God will always forgive us & He will also give us the strength to resist the urge to sin in the future. There is nothing we can accomplish on our own. We need God to help us everyday & if we ask for that help He will help us. Even if He doesn't help us right away God always comes through for us. You can trust in that.

I am trying, believe me im trying. I hope that in the future im able to actully say yes i do have faith with confidence.
