Every day since morning to before going to bed,we are eating some thing. But in general we never remind the farmer in our minds, how a farmer work hard to produce it.You take vegetables, wheat, barley, maize ..you take any food. So kindly remind him once in a day for producing food for us.

Baluyadav- Yes, all of the time. We buy local during the summer at the farmers market, and during the year we try to make sure we're buying things from MN growers. I think we should all be aware of where our food comes from and what goes into harvesting it. I think small gardens are great service learning projects for students to help them understand this line of work. I also remind my children when my husband and I go out for seafood (I'm allergic but I take the husband out so he can enjoy his lobster and fish) how hard it is for these men/women who catch our seafood. My husband also reminds them, as both of us have seen the program "Deadliest Catch" and understand just how dangerous it is for these people who bring us a luxury in our life. Namaste-Anora

Hi,Anora, how good at them,it's nice. You are allergic to sea food since childhood or later. Why i am telling you compare to other non vegetarian items, seafood is better for health especially to heart. Thanks for both of you for reminding them even in this busy life.Have a nice time.

When I was little and refuse to finish my meal, my parents used to remind me about those farmers in Indonesia. In Indonesia where I live, we primarily eat rice as our meal. Whenever there are still rice in my bowl, they'd say that the farmers would be crying if they know you're throwing away their good rice. Mom says that farmers choose the bad rice for themselves to east while the good ones are sold for us. I would forever be grateful to farmers.

Yes. I think abou this quite often. I especially think about it when I get some bad produce or some bad meat. It makes me wander where it came from and hos old it it was when i bought it too. I am thankful for the good items though.
