I am having a problem with my computer.

what is happening just open the cpu and see whether system gets supply of supply is proper just check connection still beep sound comes means just remove the ram clean it and replug it when i do this i seen that problem solved mostly ram is the problem is it a old ram then surely ram problem is there

if u get the beep sound while booting, then for sure ur ram might be misplaced, no other problem, just open up your cpu and place properly the RAM in its slot and boot again, you would get into the windows, no other problems..

Is your computer a lap top or a desk top? I had that problem with my laptop and it was that I had to replace the hard drive. It isn't hard to do on a desk top, but with a laptop you would need to take it into the shop.

Do you have a restore disk with your computer? Sometimes it's as simple as restoring your computer, though you will lose the data you have stored on the hard drive. That's why I back up everything important on flash drives.

If it is beeping then i think there will not be any problem with your software side.
i think it is the problem of the RAM. if your RAM get moisture or out of order, some mother boards start beeping. check out for your RAM, clean and fix this.

I think that some important questions need to be asked first of all. First of all, how long have you been experiencing this problem? When the computer was working do you remember doing anything beforehand, like installing hardware, software or something similar? When you say the system keeps on beeping this could relate to a number of things. There are certain beep codes for different problems. A single beep indicates that everything is fine and the self system check has been carried out successfully. It's hard to make any kind of diagnosis without establishing what has taken place prior to experiencing this problem. Key questions are: was the computer bumped accidentally whilst being used? This can be bad for the hard drive. Was any software or hardware installed recently, the hardware or software may have compatibility issues. When the computer is constantly beeping is there anything showing on the monitor or do you have a black screen? If there's a black screen then there may be a problem in relation to the graphics adapter(a graphics card installed within the pc) or onboard graphics(video port at rear of pc). With all computer troubleshooting scenarios it involves interviewing and questioning the user thoroughly. Mostly it happen to hardware, in every beeping sound have meaning on your hardware is not connected correctly. Normally it just beep once, but if error come from any of your hardware it cause repeat booting.

just want to add for the benefit of those who are experiencing the same problem (that kind of beep), sometimes, re-seating the ram would not work, just try the other slots if there is still vacant. if still it doesn't work, pull out your memory again, find an eraser like the one on pencils, clean the terminals of the memory by gently rubbing it with the eraser, these should do the trick, But if everything else fails, that's the only time you would consider of buying a new one.

There might be some problem with the hardware, especially connections. Open up the chassis of the CPU, then remove and refit all the connections like harddisk and RAM. Clean all the dust. That should solve the problem. But often, a faulty monitor or a power supply unit also causes this. There are codes for number of beeps coming from CPU. Check Bigelow's 'PC Maintainance and Upgrading' book or search on the internet.
