Stocks: Are you a trader?

I invest for the long term. I don't trade online but I do have a broker that take cares all the things like cost and management. MSNBC is the best source of good news about stocks and other securities. I personally recommend Jim Crame's show.

I'm learning to be one. I tried practicing at Marketiva, I have virtual forex... and I'm still learning how to trade online (buy/sell) wisely. It's kinda tough, but they have given me real $5 for live forex once I'm ready to do it. It's hard though, what I do is, I go to some forex forum site like Gain Scope and see what are the predictions in the stock and learn from the gurus.

I have in the past and did well, and did this time last year when the stock market went down SOOO low!! It was rather great... I got some great stocks at under $7 a share, and now they have tripled and one even quadrupled! Didn't have a lot of money to invest, but a little and it will sit there till I retire and then I will sell... providing things go as planned. But I watch the prices couple times a week...

Yes, I am trading stocks, and I made a good return on microsoft on Friday, and earned a decent $200:) I think that stocks are a great investment, mind you, if you know how to buy and sell right, and not invest in bankrupt companies, like Lehman brothers.

Hi Oreo, I invest in shares, using the fundamental analysis method to pick shares.
During college, I took up business course, got to study about Economimcs, Corporate Finance and Managerial Accounting.
After college, spent half a year on CFA course, and learnt more about investings.
Now is the time to apply the knowledge in the stock market. So far, so good. Since I dont have much capital, it's impossible to buy all growing companies. Sometimes feel heartache when the share prices go up, knowing that I would buy if I have enough money.

I am not a market speculator. I have not got the kahonies for it.... even if I did have the money. But my track record for losing money is near perfect. I have given up on being rich or even independently wealthy.

All I have to do is wager any amount on anything and I'm done.

There isn't a sports team that I have bet on at any time by any amount that has won a match I bet on.

I bet on any team and it's the kiss of death for them. I did think of reverse psychology on them too. But the powers that govern gambling know who is kidding who.

I always buy and sell in a same day, but usually this will result in lost on my
account,so now I will research a company for several hours, but not listen
any advise from others, I just want to invest according to my will,
finally you will find you have win some money,
anyway investment is a art, number, trend is no use to help you to get money.

Hello OreoCookie. We have bought some stocks. It is my wife who is doing this, but ever since the beginning of the latest recession, the shares of stocks have been left there without our trying to sell or buy any. We just let them be. I wish someday it will become good again.

never, i don't know tips and the money which is for me to invest is little so that if i made a wrong decided, our life maybe will be break down.i have heard that seveal weeks ago, many of people lost more as the bad market.almost all of the shares from more companys which had been down low fastly.so for me,a person who is no knowledge of stock maket is not suit to become a trader in this bad situation.good luck and have a nice day!
