Nothing is worse than working a job you hate.

What about no job at all scrounging for food in the garbage can trying to stay warm through a cold night while living on the street. It can always be worse you should remember that. You could be on the streets in raggedy clothes that smell terrible begging for money from people that won't even treat you like a human being.

Hey friend, if you really got bored, I'll suggest you to discontinue the work just before a week from the date your school start again. Just enjoy in that time and till that time, forget everything and do the job without asking for a minute also as you know that you are going to enjoy. If not a week, you may reduce the number of days but don't forget to enjoy. Take relax. Sleep more. Eat what you like most. Hang out with friends and listen music, watch movies, play games and refresh mind. Enjoy friend

One thing that would be worse than having a job you hate would be, not having a job @ all & not being able to feed & support your family. Always being broke & having to always count on other people for financial issues. Every work place has it's downfalls. Like you said, sounds like not being able to "afford" to quit before the holidays sounds like one more thing that's worse than having a job you hate.

Since we spend most of our life at work, I would suggest you start looking for something that would satisfy you better. Once you finish school, you'll be able to choose a better job that you will love. But for now, keep your eyes open for something else, that's all you can really do.

Don't quit your job just because you don't like it. Instead, start looking for one that may be more suitable for you. Being unemployed is no walk in the park either.

We have all experienced jobs that we were unhappy with. Just use this to help get you kick started in looking for a new one. Be aware that you very well might land a new job that you hate just as much as the one you have. Believe me, that can happen.

Make it your New Year's project to find something you may enjoy more, and good luck!

Nowadays, I have met such a situation just like you. As you have said above, I hate my job and can't stand the people I work with for they are all lack of the team awareness. But for the keen competition, I have to suffer from pain. Yes, you see, in my country, there are so many people who want a better job so that I have to face the keen competition if I want to find a proper job again.

I have to say that to get employed is harder than to climb to the heaven.

I could not really say that I hate my job right now, but I am starting to lose the enjoyment in doing it. I have been doing it for almost five years and I think I need a breath of fresh air.

The best way of dealing with that kind of situation is to start considering and expanding your options. Look for other opportunities so that you could just resign. If you can no longer handle the heat, get out of the kitchen!

I agree with the other responders, it's worse having no job at all. Imagine the poor people in the streets who begs for something just have something to eat. Imagine those people scrounging for something to eat in the garbage cans, living in the streets, homeless. You are fortunate you have this job. But if you really don't like this job, quit and start looking for another. If you like, try living in the street and feel the cold nights.

I have a horrible job either. What i'm trying to do is not to focus on 'what' or 'how'. I try to focus on 'why' - the reason i'm doing the job. i find that the reason is my family. it makes me strong to restrain in this horrible job.
I suggest you to find something or someone that motivates you to keep working. With something or someone you loved in your mind, maybe you'll have more power to face the difficulties in your workplace. Cheers

I also agree that the saying what is worse than working a job you hate is have not a job,since you will go back school a period of time later,it is a short time,so why not take relax and enjoy it.
