I feel like thinking makes me a more disagreeable character...

I go to a high school in Suwanee, Georgia, and I have been wanting to get out since my freshman year. Yea yea everyone says they either have loved or hated high school too, but my hatred has become so intense, I just distance myself from everyone else, literally. I constantly get the comment "chill out," which is frustrating because I LIKE to "chill." Smoking hookah and laying on the beach are my favorite things to do, and shoot, I am from the southern most part of California- I am the definition of chill. Thinking, overanalyzing, questioning, is something I always tend to do. Unfortunately, those characteristics are also the recipe for the nosy girl in high school. Obviously I don't go up to everyone's faces asking questions, I'm at least polite/respectful. But the thinking part has always led me to make a comment aloud if someone says something disagreeable. However, the vast majority will agree to the opposite side, and start petty drama, making rude and ignorant/awkward comments along the way. Everyone follows everyone in high school. Is it the same in the real world?
