Discipline and life

I feel, disciplined here means, Pricipled. One has to have some principles in life and be disciplined in his approach. It means that one has to have a persistent, constant approach towards acheiving a goal. Of course, the goad has to be a good one. Discipline also means self control. One should have control over oneself, without yielding to the attractions of life, just easily. You have to enjoy the attractions of life, but only to the extent you require. You should have a strong feeling to say NO when you feel that it is too tempting and you cede to it.

I used this word discipline in the place of conduct. I give the real version " Proprity of conduct leads to eminence; therefore should it be preserved more carefully than life.

Propriety of conduct men obtain greatness; from improprity comes insufferable disgrace.

Proprity of conduct is the seed of virtue; improprity will even cause sprrow.

Hello Guru! Your definition of discipline is difficult for me to understand. I dont think it is not defined for layman. Just kidding. Seeing the first person who commented to my response, I can see that I am a person with principles. But, I am not very strict that I should stick to my principles. Sometimes I go away from my principles to save some time or money. I am happy if I can satisfy my temptations whenever I get tempted, but I am clever that I will make sure that I am not getting into trouble by staisfying my temptations. What do you say?
