Do You Get Annoyed When People Talk While You Try To Watch TV?

It depends on how immersed I am with the show or the movie. But as much as possible, I'd rather not have someone talking about something else nor asking questions about the show itself because I cannot concentrate with someone yapping.
I definitely would tell them that I'd like to watch in peace.

But if I'm not really that interested with the television program, I'd welcome questions or even talk while the show is going on.

It depends really on how interested I am to watch.

I could remember a few days back, I was watching a horror flick and my aunt came over to bring me an Aloe Vera plant, she was talking about how to take care of the plant and so and I totally got irritated because the movie was at its peak. I told my aunt outright that I'd like to watch television first and we could talk later. I was quite rude the 2nd time around and I'm sure I hurt her feelings. But after the movie, I did talk to her about it.

A person should be able to see whether it's a good time to talk or not before budging in. And if they fail to realize or be sensitive about it, we have to tell them.

What about you? You failed to share your own thoughts on the subject matter.

somehow, every time I'm actually watching something interesting, someone will either
call or burst into my room with something to say. I've been saying 'not now, watching something' so many times for the last week or so...

Oh this is a pet hate of mine, I absolutely hate it when people try to talk to me when I'm trying to watch something.
Infact any loud noise like hoovering etc really bug me when I'm trying to watch something.
My GF has an unwritten rule of only talking to me when a good film trailer comes on..:P Drives me insane!
I don't understand why people do it, I think it's a male thing...I can sit with my male mates and it's silent, but women oooooh no they MUST talk lol it's frightening for them to sit in silence.
Another thing that bugs me is when people try to guess the ending....it's like 'Shutup and you will see at the end, don't ruin it by guessing it and speaking through it'.
I like to think that I'm quiet when others are trying to watch TV etc but some people just don't seem to realise you are watching something or listening to something and just annoy you until you either get angry at them or sulk...and then they wonder why! Lol! Lose lose I think!!:(

yes. i do get annoyed when people talk while i am watching TV. I may not be able to catch up with important dialogues there.

yes it's annoying. It really annoys me specially when I'm watching motogp and the race is on it's last lap, then somebody will come to me and ask me for something or will try to talk to me or the phone will ring, that kind of stuff, really irritates me.

I find that every time i want to try to watch a program that it seems everyone either wants me or makes as much noise as possible.I think that if i watch a 30 min program i will only hear about 10 mins of it.Where as when they watch what ever they want to i never make any noise soi that they do not hear it,so why do they when i watch mine.I hardly ever watch the tv as there is nothing much on there,but when i do i can not hear it any way. I do tell them to shut up.

yeah, I get annoyed most of the times when i am in focus watching my favorite television drama series and my companion is noisy interrupting my concentration. I would tell them to lower their voices as I really find it hard to understand what I am watching.

oh, yes, definitely I do. My son can watch his shows in all peace and that is when I get much of stuff done:)
Though, when one of my shows are on, Especially my NCIS Or WWE, he will keep talking, wanting to be with me, just bother me for some odd reason, during "my" time. When I get really interested, intrigued and want to catch the "punch-line" he will talk, need something, or pester me about something. I try to tell him that my show is on, he can watch with me, or play quietly....mmmm...doesn't work. I will tell him again to quiet down..doesn't work, again, and again..then I will get to the shut up!!

I try to be nice because I know it would annoy the person talking if I suddenly snap at them to be quiet. I would ask first and if they are determined to keep talking then I would probably get a bit irritated from it.
It annoys me most if for example, my boyfriend is talking, then I quickly interrupt him to say 'shhh!!' then he will complain that I always cut him off, then I have to explain I just want to hear this bit.... by which time I've now missed it because I've had to explain... This is when it annoys me.

Yeah its kinda challenge to me whenever some one raises the tvs volume like hes telling me that i cant be louder than it but through your prayers mate i always win! Cheerz
