help!!!!

hello,

i need help will my phone, it was given to me buy my dad and i didn't really want it so i sent it off to envirophone and they emailed me saying "mobile phone is barred" fist of all what dose that mean and second of all how can i fix it.
i herd that if you stick it in a microwave for 48 seconds it will work find but that don't sound good/ right/SAFE!
