October is now the deadliest month for American forces in eight-year's of war |
|
Sixty day's Obama has not made up his mind to sent the requested needed troops or not send them,Obama's war is not going so well American blood is spilling on the ground of Afghanistan, October has been the most deadly month in 8 year's,while Obama is out campaigning for his party, picking fights with Fox's News,Chamber of Commerce, insurance companies please be praying for our children in Afghanistan and Iraq as they fight and die in Obama's war.
(Obama said Afghanistan was the important war Bush has it all wrong)
The military issued a statement saying the deaths occurred during "multiple, complex" bomb strikes. It said several troops were wounded and evacuated to a nearby medical facility, but gave no other details.
Capt. Adam Weece, a spokesman for American forces in the south, said both attacks occurred in Kandahar province. In Washington, a U.S. defense official said at least one was followed by an intense firefight with insurgents who attacked after an initial bomb went off. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to release the information.
The deaths bring to 55 the total number of American troops killed in October in Afghanistan. The previous high was in August, when 51 U.S. soldiers died and the troubled nation held the first round of its presidential elections amid a wave of Taliban insurgent attacks. The deadliest month of the Iraq conflict for U.S. forces was November 2004, when 137 Americans were killed during the assault to clear insurgents from the city of Fallujah.

I really hope that at some point in time peace can be settled again in places that got the misfortune of this situation.

President Obama should have made up his mind months ago. This is really starting to show his inability to tackle any 'real' problems. Yet, all he does is go on another campaign fundraiser and playing golf.

4. murderistic (1042) | 3 months ago | The Taliban is sending a clear message that US troops are not welcome, and that if they send more troops in, they will kill them. The President of Afghanistan has expressed his full support in the military occupation but has made it clear that the US forces should be implemented as security forces for the Afghan people to be protected from Taliban oppression; not as combat forces. He does not want more troops to target the Taliban, as this will only erupt more violence and oppression on innocent lives from the Taliban. The US military has to take into deep consideration the President of Afghanistan's wishes if we wish to remain seen as a welcome force of good for civilians and the government in power. Karzai's fear of increased terror from the Taliban is valid. But it is clear that security from the Taliban is not a lasting tactic, the US can not serve as the Afghan people's police force indefinitely, and the Taliban is still a major threat. If the United State's wishes to defeat the Taliban, we must do so through reconciliation techniques and community development. The reason why the extremist Taliban members have a following is because they use terror tactics to those who force their following and they and offer economic security and social services to those who have little hope for the future otherwise. So both of these issues must be addressed: security and poverty. Along the way, the shared humanity of both the Taliban and the Afghan civilians must be found through reconciliation if the extremist mindset of the Taliban is ever to be defeated.

murderistic (1042) | 3 months ago | People aren't going to debate with you when you constantly resort to harsh and childish namecalling, Ted. I've had enough of your bully attitude. I don't want you responding to my post because I've already decided not to respond to yours. No point in making snide comments to me when I'm just going to ignore them, is there? Make your own post and adress my issues there if you want. I will still read them, I just wont respond to them. Got nothing to do with blinders. Thanks.

5. wlee9696 (382) | 3 months ago | The Afghan leaders fear that Obama will pull out and leave them at the mercy of the Taliban. So they are careful what they publically ask for. Everyone knows that Obama supports the Muslims so he has no desire to do anything that would even in the least upset them. The problem is the Afghan leaders have already allowed the Taliban to come in and rule their country. They have proven that they are too weak to stand against terrorist forces. We need to go in for the people of Afghanistan not the government. The government there is little more than figure heads - they have no real power and they fear the Taliban forces more than anything. Obama needs to send in enough troops to do the job - putting insufficient troops, equipment money and time to do the job is unacceptable. He is personally responsible for our troops being killed by failing to give them the resources they need. If he isn't going to commit all the way then pull out entirely and let the Taliban take over the country.
