|  If Canadian politics is described as a bloodsport, then British Columbia politics has to be UFC... with no referee!
US politics is desperate leaning heavily to nasty. Well financed, I envy US political parties for the wealth they have at their disposal. I could run a very effective campaign of a tiny percentage of that money. American citizens must be dulled to near senseless with near continuous ads for this party of that.
Here? We have learned to be vicious for nearly free. Why? Because we have no choice.
Virginia and New Jersey in the US have suddenly become the states that are going to tell how Obama is doing. Personally I suspect that he is going to get a snoot full of pissed off voters.

The solution is quite simple to me now though. If the Afghans don't want us there, then let's pack up and leave just to the other side of the border and camp out there. Kill anything or anyone trying to get in or out without full screening first. Then, let those morons kill each other off. We should also do this to Iran. Total blockade except for full screening. Nobody there wants the help? Fine. You get none. Let us know who's left when the dust settles.
But that's not a story to fill up a day.
Your health care debates are in a lull while draft legislation is being cobbled together. Nothing to talk about until there is something to talk about. However, when they finally introduce something, then it will be a busy Thanksgiving and Christmas season for your media. | | | |
