Name or Nickname?

I prefer my nickname to my real name, definitely. My real name is Alyssa but I go by Maezee or Lyss to my friends & close family. I like hearing my nickname better, for sure. It's more casual. When people call me 'Alyssa' I think I'm getting in trouble. L0L.

I come from a big family. There are 8 of us kids and all of us have nicknames. My real name is Naomi. My older sister started calling me Nomi. It caught on during high school and all my friends started calling me that. A few years my baby brother changed it a little and started calling me Nome. My dads nickname for me is Sumo. My sister and I started wrestling and we busted a wall on accident. So after that my dad called me Sumo. I prefer when my siblings call me Nomi or Nome because its a name they made special for me.

Hi George! nice topic!:) My real name is Marianne but i prefer to be called yan to make my long name short. I have used it after high school, and would love to hear people calling me that. I have my 2nd name of Aissa so other people would call me Ice, or Icy. College friends would call me yannie.

Yes, its really cool having a nickname or a name that can be a nickname. My baby's name is Alexah but everybody call her Bryx, as for her nickname. Sometimes, my parents would call her Bridgette, Bryxie, Abegail, or whatever names that somewhat related or sounds like the name "Bryx".. Hahaha! funny!:)

i call my 8 year old chicken or chickie dickie do,i have done from when he was a toddler,i think it started when i read him the Chicken Lickin book

I don't care for my real name so I like my nickname a little better . My real name is jeanena, but for the most part I go by Jodi.My hubby calls me Jo most of the time .

i have a real name and a nickname but i love my nickname more coz just 7letters in Craicha...but my real name got 16letters plus 7letters n family name.....lol..when i was in prep school get hard time in writing my full real name....thats the reason if someone ask my name i never give out my real name....!!!

Hi! I like to be called by nickname. Your nick name is just a modification of your name itself. But mine is totally different. Yes, I use to be called as "Baby" just because I do smile like baby and appearance to!

My real name is Mirella, and my nick is just Mir. Really just my boss and my parents call me with my full name, all the friends call me with the nick. I hate my name, because it rhymes with nasty words in my native language and also beacsue it's uncommon, and I'd prefer it was a common one. Instead, I like my nick, it gives me something exotic and people wonder where I come from.
