Receiving "missent txt msgs" how do you handle them?

I usually send them back with a note that it was misdirected. If he continues to send messages, I ignore them. Yes, there was a time that I was in a playful mood and I answered back and played along. That did not prove well as it irritated me later on. I learned from that experience and never did it again.

It depends on what kind of message is mis sent. Sometimes there are those who are really unintentional. I just laugh on it and tease the person who accidentally send the message on me. But if it is a way of getting attention, I don't mind it. Don't even react on it. But then one of my unforgettable experience is a text message in which I found out that my partner was cheating on me. The message for the third party supposedly was accidentally was sent to me. That was the end of the relationship.

It depends on how urgent the message is. If its like some quote or petty messages (usually ones pretending to be your relative asking for load), I just plain ignore it. Or maybe I'd send it back to the number and tell him/her he/she sent it to the wrong person.=)

I always receive missent messages and I simply just ignore it. I don't want to repky since, as what you've experience, that person might be your text mate and I don't want that.. since it might be a time and money consuming...

I don't want to gain friends from text...

Hi manong: nice story and it's funny how she reacted after your answer. One time i receive a missent txt msgs, as i remember this person was upset with "me" because i haven't arrived but i don't answer. I felt a little guilty because it might be something urgent but at the same time i thought that was not my problem and that i don't even know who he/she was.

I usually ignore the SMS but if it is from the person i know and if the content is important and urgent i usually send it back to the sender and sometimes add some quote. If i missed send the SMS if i receive no reply i usually give the person a ring and a follow up SMS to confirm if she received the text message i send.

I have not received a text that's not intended for me lately, but based on experience I just ignore it because i always thought that that SMS was meant to be sent to you on purpose. How would a stranger know my number in the first place? your friends numbers are saved in your phone book right? and when you send an SMS you send it to a name and not to a number... well there are exceptions of course. But I just feel it's waste of money if I send it back. What's more annoying is if its text message informing you that you've won the lottery...aaargh. But i bet there are people who fall for it, pity. Cheers!

Sometimes, I will just ignore this kind of messages, but like you I have replied to a few messages before because it's like I was the original recipient.

There was one time when I received a text asking something like, "Boss, do you want me to purchase the flight ticket?" Then, I just answered, "Yes.." Well, I haven't received any message from this person again.

it depends on the content of the message,i'll answer back and acknowledge her mistake on few messages which looks true,while ignore most missent messages.

I jsut ignore them whenever i receive them. I don't even respond to messages whose numbers don't appear in my my contacts and they don't write their names in the messages. Don't mind them for you will just be wasting your time and money.
