I just search if hail Mary is a prayer in the bible |
|
well its not! Im being doom by this prayer because people say it is a prayer but its not a prayer in the bible it is just a statement from Elizabeth.... why really people don't see this so simple things they tend to change the bible... why not just base it all in it not to humans thoughts...
Its just like the Our father prayer, people pray this prayer but the bible says! "PRAY LIKE THIS" . The bible is not saying to pray that prayer but to pray like that! ( means you create your own prayer and make it like that consistent and appreciate Gods works and praise him)
To God be The Glory!

I also like to pray roasary which involved a lot of hail mary prayer. My parents pray rossary everyday as a part of their night prayer. I used to kneel down on floor and pray the whole rossary when I stayed with my parents.

Well That prayer and the rosary doesn't exist before the reign of the FIRST ROMAN CHRISTIAN Constantine. He and Her mother develop the roman catholic religion to control the people. You should know the roots of your religion by the way.
I am a roman catholic, but as a Real Christian share to me it showed me light and truth ... so it change me and make me a better person.

2. EnglishTeaDuck (733) | 3 months ago | Yes, good point! The 'Hail Mary' in full is NOT in the Bible, nor is it a prayer. The beginning was a greeting from Elizabeth to her cousin Mary, and a blessing over their situation of Mary being pregnant with Jesus.
The prayer, however, is a prayer TO Mary, asking her to 'pray for us sinners' - in other words we are asking Mary to intercede with her son for us. Likewise when saints are prayed to.
Nowhere in the Bible does it suggest we pray to Mary! Mary was an ordinary person, who was used by God. She describes herself as his servant. Elizabeth refers to her as another person, blessed by God. Yes, she has an honored place in the Bible because she was chosen for her task, but she is not divine and should not be prayed to. We can pray directly to God - the death of Jesus, according to Christian belief, took away any barrier between us and God and it says we may 'boldly approach ' His throne in prayer. We do not have to go through Mary or any saint (the Bible describes ALL Christians as saints, by the way, so the practice of MAKING someone a saint is irrelevant too!)
For the same reason I do not believe in confession to a priest, as we can confess directly to God - and it is not up to a priest to decide what we do to get forgiveness. It doesn't depend on saying certain prayers, etc but just on confessing to God and what Jesus did.
As you say, I think the 'Lord's prayer' was kind of an example of what we should be praying for, we weren't meant to just repeat the prayer, though I guess there is nothing wrong with doing so.
I was brought up in a Christian home, but went to a catholic school, and I got in trouble with the nuns for refusing to say the Hail Mary, for the reasons above:))

And add the "Our father prayer" its a practice by the catholic to pray that prayer even if they dont know what the bible says about it....
I never care if people persecute me as a "Catholic Attacker because that religion blinded me at the past and don't make sense.. The most reason is that religion is created to control people see its roots. Have a good day! God bless
God speed Shalom!

The Holy Spirit is our intercessor (Romans 8). Jesus's death opened the door for all of God's children (believers by faith) to have an open relationship with him. That was symbolized in the tearing of the veil that covered the Holy of Holies in the temple. (Matthew 27:51)

3. suspenseful (17152) | 3 months ago | The only "Hail Mary-" was the start of the greeting the angel Gabriel gave to Mary when he said that she would be blessed among women as she was chosen to conceive the Christ through the Holy Spirit. It is not a prayer but a greeting such as Hail Joseph - the angel Gabriel could have said Hail Joseph blessed are ye among men for ye shall be the step father for the Christ who will be conceived through the Holy Spirit. As for the Lord's Prayer, it does give one an example, the first being Glorification of God, the Wish for God's Kingdom on Earth, The Desire that all goes according to God's Will no matter where, our needs and wants, our need for forgiveness, our forgiveness to those who ask for it, not to be led astray, the need for deliverance, and at the end the glorification of God and the wish for the Kingdom to be on Earth as it is in Heaven and all in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And that covres a lot of territory.
