Talk-radio icon Rush Limbaugh says the Republican Party has a death wish |
| |
| Both leading parties are death to the United States if they had any shame they would be hiding their faces,if I thought a third party who was conservative with decent morals I would surely vote for that person but Washington D.C. is and has been for a long time for sale 24-7 the third party candidates would have to have endless millions going in and I don't think none of them have that kind of money. In my opinion the American people put the last nail in all our coffins this last election and the future is millions of miles away from any thing that looks like hope. Has Washington D.C. cleaned up in the pass year not even in our dreams,is it more transparent not even close. I'm not a Rush Limbaugh radio fan but I do agree with him the liberal republicans for sake of greed and self they as the liberal democrats have all brought death to the United States seven folds, what say you? (Rush Limbaugh TALK RADIO) Talk-radio icon Rush Limbaugh says the Republican Party has a death wish – and is as dangerous to the United States as the Democrat Party and its czars. Limbaugh's comments came today as he was discussing the race for Congress in New York's 23rd district, where the GOP picked a liberal nominee to oppose a liberal Democrat, passing over a conservative candidate who wanted to represent the GOP, a candidate now pursuing the seat as a third-party candidate. "They have a death wish. The Republican Party has a death wish. Gallup: 40 percent of Americans now say they are conservative, 20 percent say they're liberal, 36 percent say they're moderates. And of those three groups, which one is being ignored – not just ignored – which one is being attacked by the Republican Party? The conservatives! " Limbaugh said today. "It's worse than I thought. I thought this was just based on elitism and northeast moderate liberalism, and embarrassment of the people that the social issues attract to the party. But now it's just plain stupidity," he continued. (RUSH Limbaugh talk radio 10/2009) | | | | | |

| | This shows that BOTH parties are useless, and it shows that Rush is not a Republican mouth piece. And it shows that we will all have to be REAL smart come 2010 and 2012. | | | | | | |

| | I've been really shocked by listening to the Right wing radio programs and finding that they did attack the Republicans that they don't think are doing right for the people. Mark Levin really lays into the Bad Republicans... he's got a cute name for them. | | | |

| | A death wish can be the only explanation for the self-destruction of the GOP. I'm ashamed to be listed as a republican. I hope Doug Hoffman wins in NY, maybe that will show people that a third party is needed, one whose candidates can say what they think and not feel they have to compromise their morals to toe the party line. The repub they put up for election in NY is a frickin' joke, and so was McCain--I think they picked him to insure Obama's win. There is no other explanation. | | | | | | |

| | Dragon, Your batting 150% this morning I completly agree with you,the 2008 election was a govenemt inside take over and John McCain is a part of it. In my opinion the American people are seeing a complet govemennt take over of our country and our very lifes and peopel that defend either leading party are dammed fools. The liberal republicans are just as bad as the liberal democrates and both has destoryed what was left of our country. | | | |

| | I have washed my hands of both of the major parties. Both are a shining representation of what is WRONG with our government.Neither is better than the other. Both are corrupt, wasteful and in my opinion criminal in their behavior. Lobbyist OWN both parties. Neither understands or practices "fiscal responsibility". None of them respect or fear us the people who pay and elect them. I am all for third parties getting more control in our government. | | | | | | |

| | Well if they have a death wish I wish the party would just hurry up and fade in to history already. People are in fact walking away from the republican party en mass now. And despite what you here in the fake media, it isn't because they aren't conservative enough, it's because they are exactly the same statist party the democrats are now. They are nothing more than a national political cartell bent only on serving itself and expanding it's power. In fact, the only ones now who DON'T seem to realize there is even this monster looming on the horizon are democrats. Nearly everyone else in this country has realized what a load of crap we have been being spoon fed by these control freaks and their acomplices in the media. | | | | | | |

| | I definitely think the GOP is self-destructing before our eyes. The Democrats aren't exactly in lockstep on every issue but they never have. The Republicans, on the other hand, have always been known to more or less "fall in line" and repeat the party's mantra over and over. Now they seem to have split up into two groups, the right and the FAR right, and it will be quite interesting indeed to see which group wins out and if the party remains standing. No matter how much Limbaugh insists that most of the country is conservative there's no way the majority of the American people are Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum conservative. I'm not sure if it was wise for the national party to get involved with what should have been an obscure special election for a Congressional seat or not. I thought the Republicans and/or the conservatives believed in state and local governments taking care of themselves. The local GOP officials in New York had chosen the candidate they thought would do the best in this special election and she no doubt would have won since there hasn't been a Democrat in that seat since Civil War time but now she's in third place behind the Conservative candidate and the Democratic candidate. | | Want to see the DemocratTICK party in it's full satanic fury? Watch what happens to the "blue dog" democrats once The Central Committee is done using them to get their Marxist agenda through. They will turn on the blue dogs quicker than the incompetent press turned on McCain during the election. The Central Committee has no interest in anyone that doesn't goosestep to their cadence. They are totalitarian oafs with your freedom targeted for distruction. | | Can we record this as an official prediction Ted? I am inclined to think your right, or what the dymaniac duo will do to them once they realize those "bluedogs" (I hate that term by the way) aren't going to ultimately support most of the crap they want them to, and you will see the press and media follow suit, let the witch hunts and trials begin. | | | |

| | He's right to the extent that the Republicans, like the Democrats, are controlled by special interests. The New York congressional race is not on point. The financial conglemerates and elites control both politial parties and rule no matter what party is in power. I'm referring to big business, the public sector unions, the sports and media conglomerates, etc. We can get no meaningful immigration reform because big business wants cheap labor. The same people that controlled the Treasury department at the time Henry Paulson under Bush bailed out the banks and financial institutions are still in power under Tim Geithner, and we're seeing no meaningful regulatory reform to prevent the type of excessive risk-taking that caused the financial crisis and made billionaires out of top executives. The public sector unions protecting teachers and civil servants with excessive benefits and no accountablity are driving States like New York and California bankrupt. I believe that Rush Limbaugh, talk radio, and the pundits on FOX news such as Beck, Hannity, and O'Reilly are part of the media conglomerate out to feather their own nests and the interests of the media conglomerate boss Rupert Murdoch. The average person in the private sector does not stand a chance since the powerful financial and economic elites control our government at every level and our future. | | | | | | |

| | I'm not generally a Limbaugh fan but on this occasion, I agree. There is only one person in Washington I would even think of voting for and that's Ron Paul. However, that would be the same death sentence for him that it was for Kennedy. I'm actually surprised he hasn't met with some *unfortunate accident* already. He's the only voice of reason in an black swirling mass of propaganda spewing forth from Washington like Old Faithful. When the rest of them get done *fixing* everything, there won't be enough of this country left to put in a teaspoon. We're all f**ked, unless we rise up and take this country back. Good luck convincing enough of the Sheeples that their government doesn't have their best interests at heart. | | | | | | |

| | The Republicans are going to have to decide whether they wish be a 'true convervative' party or whether to tack to the centre-right. It has been said that 40% of the US electorate are conservative and I believe this to be roughly correct. However, you need under a 2 party system 50% plus 1 to win (though this of course doesn't apply to this special election). It should be remembered that George Bush won back in 2000 by portraying himself as a compassionate conservative - ie appealing to moderates. The alternative is that the Republicans could split in two - with a true conservative party on the one hand and a centre-right party on the other. Now in this scenario, if all of the conservative electorate voted for this true conservative party, they would probably then win in a three-way split. However, more likely is that at the national level, the Dems will simply benefit from a split republican vote (note Bill Clinton's victories in the 1990s were helped by Ross Perot, who took more Republican votes than Dem ones). | | | | | | |

| | What needs to happen is the few 'real' conservatives need to get together and find out just WHAT that 40% + group of Americans (that call themselves 'conservative') want from their government. Then sit down and figure out who can best serve THE PEOPLE'S interests...not government interests. Ron Paul is as good as it gets...he's a smart man, and as far as I know, an ethical man. Will it happen, we can tell them what we think. We can hound them with petitions, we can protest in the streets, we can email, write letters, make phone calls. But without organization and people who care to try...it is just a dream. And I'm thinking, that if it does not happen SOON, it will be to late. | | | |

| | As usual, you are right on, Kennyrose. Rush Limbaugh is also right on. For some unknown reason, the Republicans are trying to emulate the depraved, lying Democrats. Bad enough the DNC has knowingly committed treason in selling out our country to illegal alien O and his thugs and the Repubs will do NOTHING about it, but now the Repub. backing of Scozzafava and Newt Gingrich's endorsement of said RINO surfaces. Just heard she dropped out, though, Hallelujah! I thought we could trust Michael Steele - what happened? Forget trusting Gingrich for this! Are the Repubs. so spineless and stupid that they think this is a popularity contest and they have to pander to the worst in people rather than stand for the conservative and moral values on which our country and Constitution are based? Yes, it doesn't make sense, so a "death wish" is a good way to put it. We | | | | | | |

| | I have to agree with Rush. The Republican party not only has a death wish, I believe they are a dying party. They have lost their way and given up their fundamental conservatism. I wrote an article about this even before the election, http://www.helium.com/ite... and I believe that if the Republicans don't get back to what the party was built on, they will not survive. There will be another party that will replace them to represent the conservative segment of the country. It's very apparent that the Democrats have moved very far to the left and now embrace Socialist or even Communist ideals, and the Republican party, thinking that people want a more centrist stance have moved left and are now closer to what the Democratic party was 20 or 30 years ago. I think that in fact, most people that once considered themselves Republicans are starting to abandon the party because of this and also the fact that both parties have become corrupt and pander to special interests. Republicans are seen as being in bed with big business but in fact true conservatism is more for small business and entrepreneurship. The Republican party is also in partnership with the military industrial complex and the power and corruption associated with it. Most conservatives believe we shouldn't be the police force for the world and we should end our military presence in most parts of the world. Most conservatives are starting to realize that the Republicans don't have their values and beliefs anymore so we are starting to see more people drop out of the party and I think a third party will grow into popularity in the next few years and will probably replace the Republican party as the second party. Maybe it will be called the Fundamentalist Party, or the Constitutionalist Party, or maybe we should just call it The Common Sense Party. I think we could use some of that... | | | | | | |
