how old is your heart?

oh wow, mines 55, plus i am a tad overweight, i put my normal target weight in and said i didn't smoke or drink and my heart was a year younger...LOL...if only i didn't have these vices, lol, well the drinking isn't a vice coz i don't do much of it, but the smoking is a bad thing....jeez, my heart is older then me even though we were born on the same day...yikes....

i think the exercise will make the heart stronger....i smoke so i am 55 "at heart" sorry about the pun...LOL....i must healthy up, don't want my ticker to time out by the time i am 55.... i do buy flora, but it doesn't do anything really, i just like it but i wanted to test you people to see how old your heart is...

I notice that the Flora one doesn't ask about exercise, diet or drinking. The good news for me is that I just did a calculation from one of the medical sites (as opposed to a company wanting to sell their product ) & it gave me just a 2% risk of a heart attack in the next 10 years

hey that's great, i hope i never suffer with a heart attack, i need it so i can live to be veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery old.....

I found it tatt, and OMG!!! I guessed it right, my heart age is 76, I have really got to do something now, I'll have to stop smoking and do more exercises, gosh!! I am ashamed. love and hugs.

wow tamara, 76, jeez we don't half take ourselves for granted don't we, i guess when were younger we think were all good, but it's when we reach a certain age we realise that we may be doing ourselves more harm than good....

yours is only 5 years older hatley, mine is 9 years older, jeez, i have to sort my health out, smoking is what's making my heart older....oh i really don't know hatley, i guess because you are diabetic, that's why your heart is older, i really don't know

So I think my heart appears older then it should!

hi faery, anyone who smokes will have an older heart i assume, so i would guess yours would be around 5 years older, not sure, mine is 9 years older and i am shocked to say the least.

It is a scary thought but also stress can weigh heavy on the heart to.So I think this is based simply on averages, each individual has there own resolve and each body acts differently I would think.The main point is we need to take better care of ourselves it is a good wake up call when we over indulge in things we shouldn't which isn't an easy task..lol!I am lighting up as we speak..what do I know..LOL

lol faery, it's easy to SAY were going to quit, but actually doing it is so hard, we all know it's bad for us but actually going through with that task is so hard, i tried it and it finished smoking for 10 months until my friend died, then i started smoking again, i could feel the difference a soon as that smoke went into my lungs, i alost passed out, but before i started smoking again i felt great....sigh!

wow abbey, i was shocked too when i did that test, we all think that our heart is ok, but after that test i think we should all start to take care of ourselves a little bit more, but as we get oldr, it tends to get harder, not enough energy i guess

well we are all allowed a guilty pleasure every now and then, even though you go out walking just twice a week is still good for you, mine is 9 years older, but i will admit, i am not as active as i used to be, but i will definitely up my game when the weather gets better for real...i don't want to be 55 and have a heart that 66....LOL....

I actually am out walking everyday.. the dog couldn't handle just twice a week..hahahha.. but the gymn is only twice a week and my pocket book cannot handle more that that just now.

i cannot understand why the weight measurements are different, i think this test should have international weight measurements too, but it just goes to show that our hearts are not as healthy as we think...sigh!

i kinda figured mine was older just from stress.
i was rather relieved it didn't say as old as i was guessing tho

wow and your only 18, maybe quitting may helo your heart by the time your in your 20's, it's never too late
