Helium raised the word-count for articles!

I hadn't realized they raised the word count on their articles. I hope they kept the usual exceptions, in recipe and creative writing otherwise there will be a lot of angry members. I am not sure how I feel about it yet. I guess I will have to see when I write something that is not marketplace related.

I think it is specific to articles. I just posted something that was 403 words and it took it. Market place and medical articles I have found often have higher counts. Did you check the blog to see if they said anything? Usually if I have a question I can find the answer to changes in there somewhere.

Lots of laughs at me! I didn't notice. I usually try to stay around 400-600 words. Now they want more? Maybe they should pay more. LOL

I guess another 50 words isn't too bad. The point is though, that they will be increasing word count a little at a time. We will have to write a book before it's through. LOL

I guess you click on a title that was or is a marketplace title. Once I selected a title that was a marketplace title. The minimum word count was 1,350. I asked about it in the community.
The writers told me that it was formerly a marketplace title. The publisher was demanding. He did not select the article in the first selection, so he opened the title again for more articles. After he purchased the article, Helium did not make changes to the word count.
In the end I had to select another title. There is no way I'm going to write extra 700 words to meet the 1,350 word count.
