1. checkmail (1081) | 3 months ago | Hello vijiboopathy this is checkmail and wonder here if nobody knows how to quit smoking. Its just th game of self control as the habbit of smoking wasn't force on us, but we took it willingly. So not pride or prestige is hurt.We gota do some self control over us, with some natural activities, like walk in the parks, meeting close ones, talking to them spending time without thinking of smoking. And even if not possible than there is an modern method invented. On Internet there is one electronic ciggarate with differnet taste filters which are zero% tobaco. Hope you find this info useful.

vijiboopathy (642) | 3 months ago | Thanks checkmail for your information. I have not heard about that electronic ciggarate. I have started this discussion have you ever tried any person to quit smoking. I am now making a person to quit smoking. He is so co-operative. This is not in the method of stopping it abruptly. First gradual decrease in the quantity and at last stop it completely and permanently.

2. rhan04 (183) | 3 months ago | I have some friends who smoke. I always tell them to quit smoking since it doesn't do any good. But of course, since they are already aware of the facts, they don't really listen. Anyway, it's a good thing my friends are not chain smokers...just occasional. But it always starts there.
Anyway, I think the most important factor is that an individual himself should be willing and determined to really quit smoking. I guess no matter what other people say, if he doesn't want to, he won't. All we can do is to support them during the process of quitting. It's really hard since stopping an addiction is almost impossible to do.

vijiboopathy (642) | 3 months ago | You are correct rhan04. The individual has to think of quitting. More over the support from his surroundings make him to achieve the goal of quit smoking

vijiboopathy (642) | 3 months ago | Hi buckiem will you give me more information about this patches. I have not heard about this earlier.

| buckiem (65) | 3 months ago | here in England we have varying devices to help people to stop smoking one of them is called a patch which you wear on your upper arm some are 24 hour patches others are just day time patches, the Doctor's here prescribe them to patients or they can be bought in chemists or probably on the internet. But they are really a good aid to help people give up smoking they come in different strengths which is a guide to how many you smoke and you gradually go down in the strength of the patch each month until you stop craving smoking. I hope this is of help to you as they really are good.

5. SouravRC (228) | 3 months ago | this is not easy. You need to follow some steps practically and in a disciplined way. It's useless to get emotional and say 'I can't quit'. You can. But be tough to yourself and follow some guidelines. I can't send any link here. You can find your help if you go to my profile and click on my website link.

vijiboopathy (642) | 2 months ago | Thanks SouravRC for your reply. It is true they have to try to quit smoking. It has to come within them. It should not be compelled by other peoples.

| 6. mikeeRMT (8) | 2 months ago | Hi friend....
Quitting or getting yourself out of cigarette is too difficult specially if your hooked with it... Quitting from smoking could not be done in just a single day. As we smoke, nicotine replaces an important biochemical compound in our brain which makes smokers crave for cigarette. The only way to quit from smoking is to do it gradually... By cutting into half the number of sticks you smoke every week until the time that you totally free yourself from cigarette. Or you could use alternative ways such as nicotine patch...

vijiboopathy (642) | 2 months ago | Its true mikeRMT, only gradual reduction in the number of cigarettes is possible to quit smoking. It is a long process. Thanks for responding to the discussion.
