I would never leave two teens home alone long enough to plan and execute a party. Number two, the advertising. When my older kids were younger and had myspace, I only allowed my daughter to keep and use hers IF she gave me the log in info. I checked it now and then and also looked at it thru my friends list a couple times a week. I made her and her brother remove personally identifying things, like addresses, phone numbers, etc.
Anyway, yes they would be punished, they'd probably be shipped off to reform school - FIRST because they KNOW this is inappropriate, WRONG behavior, second of all because although they live here, this isn't actually THEIR house, all the items inside are not actually THEIRS unless they used THEIR money THEY earned THEMSELVES to buy and maintain it, and in the end, because parents and guardians bear the brunt of legal action if a MINOR commits a crime or causes public disturbance/riots, etc. So... in closing, not just not keeping things off the internet but doing it at ALL! If there is going to be a party, it's going to be chaperoned by at least one or two adults, and the adults are going to be present, and homes are not going to be destroyed, and there are not going to be 200 kids there unless the party is planned at a venue large enough for that many people. I bet there was a TON of damage and I would probably be so angry and upset - and hope that I had homeowners ins that would at least cover cleanup, furniture replacement, fixing/repainting, coverage for floor and carpet damage, etc!

| | 33. ellie333 (6792) | 1 month ago | I have heard oif this happening so many times, my own daughter, although not via the internet ended up with a houseful a few years ago although it was just supposed to be her and three friends word got out that I was away and before she knew it all sorts of people were turning up and another neighbour called me and then called the police, luckily I only experienced a table being broke and mess (which was cleared up and replaced before I arrived back) another friend though wasn't so lucky and had over £3000 worth of damage to her home through unwanted online gatecrahers. My daughter was very remorseful but she was still grounded and punished from having no friends round at all and key taken from her and her to stay at her fathers if ever I was away in the future so there would never be a repeat. I don't think teens appreciate that although inviting friends there are other people online intent to wreck havoc in these situations. If this situation were mine first thing I would do is take their internet privileges away from them and then let them use their internet time in doing something constructive in rebuilding the mess they had caused. Also tough cookie that I am at times remove all clothes makeup etc and just leave them with school uniform only so they would have to stay home and unlock an item at a time once they had EARNED it back. Huggles. Ellie:D

| | 36. KrauseHome (13443) | 4 weeks ago | Wow!! Over 200 kids showing up just because a Party was advertised on Facebook. Where were the parents to help stop this from happening? I would think any parent would definately be there if their teenagers decide to throw a party to keep things from getting a little out of hand. I guess in a way the parents are lucky they do not get fined by the police as well, and somehow it needs to be a lesson learned for the parents on learning how to have more control of their kids in the future as well.

I would also tell them no more parties ever..unless it was at somebody else's house..lol I would have been scared to death if that many people showed up..heck never know who show up with it being advertised on net..a few freako's..Definitely would be grounded also till they were 18 or 21..
