question for pet owners

well i have thought about getting her re-homed but i just can't, so i may just have to watch where i am walking or maybe lock her in the room while i am busy in the kitchen, she has done this before but this time i could have easily been stabbed, i couldn't get her re-homed, she is a sweet little thing and i would feel so guilty if i turned her over to someone else, she's only just started to settle in, so maybe i should just watch where i walk, she must think that i am going to feed her every time i go into the kitchen because she does eat alot, but i must be careful when she is around, i know she doesn't know that she's doing it, but i could have been really cut up there, i did shout at her which i never do and she skooted outside, she is back now, but she's wary...LOL....maybe this telling off will stop her from doing what she's doing....i must be careful where i walk, or i could just lock her out while i am cutting up veggies....i couls have been making a trip to the hospital now....

Oh I know but when I know he is in the Kitchen now and I hear him move I look behind me
His other favorite one is jumping up at the back of my Legs or the side to knock me of balance lol when I do not expect it

we all have to be careful with our pets, espacially cats, i know dusty could have caused me serious injury so i must keep her out of my way, she could have cost me a journey to the ER tonight....

thanks antique, i hope she doesn't do it again, she has in the past and i have gone toppling over, she gets right in front of me and i end up having to dodge around her, that knife i had is super sharp, i use it for chopping up veg and i slices like it's slicing butter, since i shouted at her she's stayed out of my way, infact she's on the table watching me, maybe that shout scared her, but since it happened she's stayed put. bless her.

oh lol, they do move fast, my ex's daughter has one and she is a little live wire for sure, whe just jumps all over the place and trips us up, i will just have to be alot more careful around dusty, she just darts out and rund right under my feet, she will cause me an injury one of these days...oh you like my avatar, i think it's so sweet...LOL...

lol, i could have stabbed myself tonight, it was so frightening, i was shaking for a few minutes because i came so close to hurting myself, i would have stabbed myself in the throat if i had have landed on the flort, that knife is razor sharp, Dusty does this alot, she gets right in front of me and then i trip over her, so i will have to be very careful the next time she does it, she couls cause me a serious injury...

Yes, do be careful because she could cause you injury. I worry about this too and must be careful for the same reason. They just do not understand.

They want to be in front, but don't know where you are going, so they stop to make sure they are going the right way and BAM! You trip, step or otherwise hit them.

Even my SMARTEST cat had a tendency to do that...

lol, i don't think they do it on purpose, how would they know how to do that, lol, but she can cause me a nasty accident if she keeps doing it, i will just have to keep her out of the kitchen when i am cooking because i could have cut my throat tonight, i came so close to it....it was pretty nerve wrecking just thinking about it...

dusty just zooms out of nowhere and gets right in front of my feet, she's always doing it, she thinks that every time i go into the kitchen she's going to get fed, i think she was a bit wary after i shouted at her, i was shocked because if i had have fell down i could have stabbed myself, she did come to me earlier on and sat on my lap, so i think she was saying sorry in her own little way....LOL.... i must watch where i walk in futire, with her being blck, i can hardly see her soming from under the table, she usually jumps out and gets my feet.

hey that's a great idea, reflectors on her collar, ok i will have to get some of them, she does hide under the table sometimes then she will jump out playfully and get my feet, and i just cannot see where she is, LOL, but last night i could have had a terrible accident, she has been quiet since i told her off, and she has not followed me into the kitchen since then...LOL, maybe my loud voice scared her a bit, i never shout at my cats but the shock of falling with that knife scared the bejeezus out of me, it could have been a serious accident, but i am watching her and making sure she is ahead of me when i go to the kitchen, she is a sweetie but can be clumsy sometimes...LOL...bless her little heart....

oh i know our little furbabies don't mean to cause us any harm but it can be pretty dangerous can't it? i was so upset that i told my cat off but the shock made me shout at her and she ran so fast out of the door, i never shout at my cats...poor thing, but i almost stabbed myself, i am going to take hatleys advice and put some reflectors on her collar so i can see her better, she is jet black and i cannot see her at times...

I know what you mean. I always feel guilty after yelling at my dogs, especially the male one whose name is Toby. I can never stay mad at him. Every time I yell at him he'll go curl up in a ball in a corner. All you'll see are these big watery eyes looking back at you. It's instant guilt trip.
