What does a cold sore look like?

How does a person become infected without contacting with infected people? I know that if A person kisses B person (one that has the virus), will get Herpes Simples, but how does the person get cold sores without physical contact?

the germs are spread the same way all germs are. I don't have to kiss you to wipe my mouth and then touch a door knob. what we touch, the surfaces have germs, most of the time our immune system just fights it but sometimes when its a cold virus we catch the cold until we develop antibodies to fight that specific cold germ
