Hey i dreamt to make her fairy on her first b'day...i wanted to dress her in furs and frills..
...but as i had baby within a year of my marriage...i couldn't go out much as in India, newly wed girls are less allowed to move freely and do marketing etc...atleast earlier it was like that..now things are changing..i couldn't fulfill my dreams on her first b'day..though she didnt understood much..and was happy even with a balloon...i was happy to see her happy..what about you ....

I bought a heap of toys for my daughter’s first birthday. I don’t remember what they were exactly but I know they were really good things I picked up at the baby swap meet that is held regularly in our area. She was not aware of much at the time but she enjoyed the new toys. I have photos of that special day; she is almost eight years old and very aware that her birthday is coming up; in fact she has already out in an order for what she wants!

I remembered the time my baby had her first birthday and i don't have a job so i was really not thinking about it at first. You know, come what may!
My older sister and my mom are planning to celebrate her birthday without my knowledge. They were listing all the things needed. How many kids should be there, balloons, what foods are we going to serve, and things like that.
On the day, i was assigned to pick up the big cake for my baby. I was depressed because i can't even buy her one by myself. I've check on my bank and i still have $10 on it. Just good enough to buy a cake from our family friend. I was so happy about it, though it was only a $10 cake that i gave her on her first birthday.
She truly had a wonderful birthday fairy party! And i thanked my sister for all of it!

i remember the first birthday of my first baby, it was full of children because of course it was a children's party and adult as well. it was surrounded with little children that he was so happy to see them all on his birthday and i think that was the best gift that i gave to my son's first birthday.

Hi eshaan , your discussion made me to sit and think. I gifted a gold chain to my son on his first birthday. We celebrated it very grandly inviting all our friends , relatives and neighbours also. We did booked a mini party hall to celebrate his first birthday. I have collection of all his photographs from very first year. I have planned to gift him when he grows up. Thank you for starting a good discussion
