Levi Johnson proves he is immature and would most likely be an unfit parent

I think Palin has been fairly restrained in her responses considering the really outrageous things that Johnston has been saying. He's enjoying his 15 minutes of fame and trying to make as much money off his relationship to her as he possibly can before he fades into obscurity. Normally his time would have run out by now, but he'll probably continue to get an audience as long as she is in the spotlight.

What's worse for the family and most especially for Bristol, is that he will be forever tied to them because of the child he fathered. Maybe someday he will grow up and behave more maturely, maybe even be a good father - more likely he will continue to act like a moron and strive for the limelight and basically be an embarrassment to all, including his son.

If it were up to me, there'd be no visitation rights whatsoever. He has proved by his own actions that he has no interest in being a father--a good one or not.

Right now, he's being played and he doesn't know it. I don't know if it's Marx or who, but there's a phrase for people like him: useful idiot.

He's an idiot, because he doesn't realize that whatever dignity he may have once had he's giving it away for 15 more minutes of fame. He's useful because he comes on the air, does something stupid (like pose for playgirl), and the association with the Palins is always there.

He's a living piece of ammunition targeted at Sarah Palin, and his antics do hurt her future campaigns. It's stupid, but Tina Fey did a lot of damage to Palin's chances, and Levi is worse.

The sooner people stop pointing mics and cameras at him, the better for everyone.

While Levi has shown himself to be a vindictive, publicity hog with poor taste, that does not automatically make him a bad parent or someone who should have no, or supervised, visitation with his son. Posing for Playgirl is not selling your body in the sense that a judge would question his lifestyle as one would with a hooker and I'm sure he's being paid well for the shots. Breakups can get awfully nasty and, if what folks say about each other prior to going to court were the standard, I would estimate that 80% of non-custodial parents would have no or supervised visitation. In Family Court the focus is on the best interest of the child and, like him or not, Levi is the baby's father and the baby has the right to have a relationship with him. Levi has done nothing to indicate that he is unfit to care for his son on a limited visitation schedule. His mother's legal problems would be something I would have serious concerns about if if he were fighting for custody and I was the judge but it doesn't play a big part in visitation.

I home they do not grant him because he has shown that he is irresponsible. I like what Palin said thet he is only looking for attention. I think that is true

Rose, we're certainly in agreement that Levi has proven himself to be immature and I'd like to add "money grubber" to my description! Apparently he never applied himself in high school, if what I've read about him is accurate, so now he's looking for any "get rich quick" scheme he can find and his notoriety over being Sarah Palin's former future son-in-law and the father of her first and so far only grandchild has presented him with an opportunity few kids from Wasilla would have dared to dream about. I've already made clear my feelings about him having been a guest in the Palin home and then telling tales of things he'd allegedly heard and seen there. I don't believe the things he's said and even if they were true, they're private and as a personal guest of theirs he's broken what I consider to be an unspoken rule of decent behavior. Anyone could do what he's doing now and claim they have something "on" the Palin's that could "hurt her". In my opinion if any such thing had ever existed Levi would have given it up by now, probably for a nice, big cash payment to the Enquirer or another gossip rag!

In my opinion the best thing Sarah could do now when Levi runs his mouth about something is - NOTHING! I realize it's got to be hard to sit back and say nothing when you're being attacked but as it is now Levi says something and it makes news; Sarah or her spokesperson says something back and it's news again, or for longer. They should just let the stories die a natural death without dignifying them with a response. However, as I said, that may be easier said than done!

As much as I think Levi is an immature jerk I'm not sure any of this would by itself make him an "unfit father" when you consider some people who are allowed to have full, unsupervised custody of their kids. One thing is sure - some of the money he's going to make from his Playgirl shoot should go to Bristol and his son!

He is such a jerk. Don't he realize that one day his kid is going to grow up and hear all this he is saying and how he had acted.
I know it is hard to sit back and do nothing when someone is using your family to make money by attacking them and lying about them....but that is Sarah needs to do. The more she responses the more pubility he gets. He is a money grubbing jerk who will more than willing to do what ever it takes to make a fast buck no matter who gets hurt...including his own child.
He is proving to the world what a (put your favorite curse word here) he is. So Sarah needs to sit back and just let him do it. People realize what he is doing. The only person he is currently hurting is himself. I don't think anyone believes the stuff he says.
Why does playgirl even want to do pictures with him anyway?

Good for Mrs Palin! I think Levi is an attention hore and nothing good will come of it. Even if what he said was true, it would be wrong.
